Shinobu's POV

I was half asleep as I got out of bed at exactly 6:15 in the morning. I started to get ready for school on my first day back. I was going to be a third year at Kimetsu Academy & my foster sister, Kanao, would be a second year at the Academy. For school, I wore a white t-shirt with denim overalls over it. I put my hair up and wore my butterfly clip, similar to Kanao's & Kanae's, my older sister. I went downstairs as Kanae was preparing breakfast for Kanao & me.
"Thanks, Nee-san," I said as I sat down to take a bite of my pancakes.
"Thank you, Kanae-san," Kanao said in her quiet voice.
Kanae has always been taking care of me since our parents died in a car crash. We took in Kanao about 2 months after the incident. She was 6 years old at the time.
As I was walking to school, I saw a beautiful girl that was sitting on a bench outside of the school gate. She had pink & green hair, put into two braids and bangs. She truly was stunning. As I walked past her, I could pick up a strong scent of sakura mochi. There were 5 minutes until class started. I was struggling to maneuver my way around the complex building. I was familiar with the layout, but I had never been to this section of the school because I had no need to. At this point, I was starting to panic. I was going to be late for my first class! I started to run because now there were only 3 minutes until class. As I was rushing to my class, I bumped into someone.
"HEY! Watch it dumba-" I said until I saw who I bumped into. It was the sakura mochi girl from earlier!
"Oh gosh! I'm sorry. Are you ok?"
Her voice was high-pitched and very smooth.
"Uh- yeah. I'm fine. How about you?", I managed to say.
"Oh! I'm fine. I was running late to class, so I was rushing."
"Same here!" I said as I flashed her a smile. She seemed to turn a little red as I said that.
"What class do you have?"
"History with Mr. Rengoku. How about you?" She said in a slightly calmer voice.
"Yeah, me too," I said.
"Alright, shall we walk together?"
"Yeah, sure. I would love that." I replied
"Great! Oh and by the way, What's your name? Mine is Mitsuri Kanroji."
"Mine is Shinobu Kocho. Nice to meet you, Kanjroji-san," I said as we walked towards Mr. Rengoku's classroom.
"No need to be so formal! You can call me by my first name!" Kanroj- Mitsuri-san said.
"Ok, sure. If you're more comfortable with that." I said.
We arrived at class just in time
"PERFECT TIMING, GIRLS!" Mr. Rengoku's voice was loud and passionate. "ALRIGHT CLASS, LET'S GET STARTED WITH AN ICEBREAKER GAME!"
