My morning was going terribly. I'd only gone and got myself arrested. My brother was going to kill me.

"Please, is there some way i can get away with not going in?" i asked as the cop stopped the car.

"I'm sorry, but no," he said firmly, but looked sorry.

"Please, i'm begging you, my brother is a cop," i tried to plead with him.

"I'm sorry, there's nothing i can do now," he told me before getting out, then he lead me into the building, by the cuffs around my wrists.

My stomach flipped as we took the elevator up, and when it finally opened, the cop pulled me through.

I kept my head down, but walked right into the back of the cop when he stopped.

"Charles, what the fuck?"

His name was Charles, the one who arrested me, and he looked like a deer in headlights as he looked up at an angry Jake Peralta.

" Th-This is the girl i spoke to you about, Jake, the one i saw smashing the shop window..."

Jake sighed, glaring at me, "take her into the interrogation room, i'll be right there."

"Peralta, this is Boyle's arrest, why do you need to speak with her?" a voice spoke up from behind Jake, and i realised he and everyone else in the room was watching us.

Jake sighed, looking at the man who had just spoke, "Captain, i uh... she- she's my twin sister."

There was audible gasps from around the room, including the cop who arrested me, Charles, who's eyes were wide, "i'm sorry, Jake."

He took me into the interrogation room and sat me down, sitting opposite me, "you're Jake's sister?!"

I nodded sheepishly, "yeah."

"Well i'm glad to finally meet you but i'm sorry it was under these circumstances," he shrugged, trying to be positive, "Jake's my best friend."

I looked at him properly, "Boyle?"

His face lit up, "he talks about me?"

"Always, he-"

I was cut off though, by my brother storming into the room, "Yn, what the fuck were you thinking?!"

"I'm gonna leave you two alone," Charles said and slipped out.

"Jake, i'm sorry," i sighed, "i fucked up."

"Yeah, you did!" he yelled as he sat down, "you know i have no control over this, right?"

I nodded, "i know." My hands subconsciously played with the chain that was cuffing me to the table, "please don't hate me."

"I don't hate you," he glared, "i'm just majorly disappointed in you."

I swallowed, nodding at him as i had no words.

He gestured at the mirror behind him and a second later Charles came back in and sat down.

"Are you okay?" he asked my brother.

Jake shrugged, "my best friend just had to arrest my sister." He sighed again, resting his head in his hands, but looked up at Charles before he spoke again. "Who's in there?"

"Holt," Charles answered, "and Rosa, because apparently she had to see this."

Jake rolled his eyes, flipping off the mirror.

Charles then turned to me, "now, i have to ask you some questions."

I nodded, looking between them both. Jake gave me a look.

"What were you doing when i arrested you?"

"Running away because i threw a brick through a window," i said quietly.

"And you know there's been similar incidents before today?"

I nodded.

"Were you involved in those, too?"

I looked at Jake, not knowing what to say, and he gave me a subtle look.

I shook my head, "no."

I didn't take my eyes off my brother.

"And you realise you could get in more trouble if you deny this and we, in the future, find out that it was you...?"

Jake gave me another look to let me know what to say. "Yes. I understand that."

"Do you know who else may have been involved if it wasn't you?"

I looked back at Charles, "no, i don't."

"Okay," he nodded, and Jake quickly got up and left, "i'm gonna take you to holding for a while, okay?"

I nodded.

I didn't end up in holding, however, as Jake said there were too many creeps in there, and he cuffed me to his desk instead, then went to talk to his Captain.

"Okay, so you said the right thing when Charles was questioning you," he sat back down with a huff. "You should hopefully get off with a warning. Since it's a first offence and we have no evidence to tie you to the other ones," he paused and leaned in closer, mouthing the words you're welcome, "you should get off easy. But i am going to kill you.

"Thanks," i mumbled, "i'm so sorry, Jake."

"I know," he glared, his jaw clenching as he spoke. He was clearly pissed, and i didn't think i'd ever seen him this pissed at me.

A few hours went by, he barely spoke a word to me, or anyone, until Charles finally walked over to us, "Jake?"

He looked up at him without a word.

"I'm sorry about what happened today," he nodded, "however i feel like i did the right thing."

"Charles, you did do the right thing," he sighed, hugging his best friend, "i'm sorry i've not spoken to you much today. I'm just trying to process everything."

"Oh, thank god, i was worried you hated me, i don't wanna lose my best friend just because i arrested his sister..."

Jake smiled slightly, "you're always gonna be my best friend, Charles, nothing can change that."

"Good," he smiled, nodding before walking back to his desk.

"He's cute," i muttered once he'd sat down again at his desk.

"What?" Jake frowned, "Charles?"

"Yeah," i nodded.

"Are we looking at the same Charles?"

I chuckled, "you know, when i knew his name was Boyle, his face lit up because you talk about him at home..."

"Honestly that doesn't shock me," he chuckled with an admiring glance towards his best friend, "i'm lucky to have him."

"See, he's cute."

He cocked a brow up, "whatever you say, sis."
