There was a knock on my door at 7pm sharp. I hadn't expected him to be on time, but i was ready. He wore all black, including that leather jacket he looked so good in, hair combed back into a slight quiff; he leaned against the doorframe casually and i invited him in for a moment.

"Nice house," he looked around.

I led him into the living room, "wanna stay for a drink?"

"I'm driving, Yln," he chuckled.

"We'll get a cab," i smirked, making him smirk too.

"You've convinced me," he nodded, "what have you got?"

I pointed him to my alcohol cabinet and he picked out a whiskey, pouring two. We clinked our glasses and had a sip.

"There's mixers in the kitchen too, if you'd like," i told him.

"Nah, i like the burn," he took a big swig and covered it up pretty well that it burned.

"Well, then we'll finish the bottle," i shrugged, "half a bottle will be fine, won't it?"

How wrong i was.

We were both drunk before we left my house. He left his keys at my place as he wouldn't need them and we headed - on foot - into town.

We laughed and laughed as we talked nonsense, telling stories and telling jokes and just enjoying each others company. Eventually, when we got into town, we decided against food and went straight to a bar.

He payed for the first few and i payed for the next. Neither of us could stand up straight, which made it difficult when he needed to pee. The restrooms were downstairs, and i waited for him at the bar, buying two more drinks.

"Captain?" i heard from behind me and spun around.

"Peralta!" i fell into him, letting him catch me, "what're you doin' here? Lemme buy you a drink."

"Uh, Cap, i think you may have had enough," he said as he stood with me, but i just grabbed my drink.

He plucked it from my hand, then noticed the other one, "who are you here with, Captain?"

"Call me Yn," i slurred, "Chuck just went to go pee."

"You're with- are you on a date with Boyle?"

"Yep," i nodded, "we were supposed to get food but we didn't..."

"Huh..." he must've spotted his friend as his eyed locked onto something behind me, "Charles, how drunk are you right now?"

"Not gonna lie to you, Jakie, i don't think i've ever been this drunk before," he laughed, and i slipped him his drink without Jake seeing, then grabbed mine from his hand.

"Cap- Yn, you've had enough, you need to be careful."

"I'm fine!" i laughed, "i'm having a great date, Peralta, we're totally fine!"

"Wait, what are you doing here, Jake?" Charles asked.

"Y'know that girl Gina set me up with?"

"Oh god, Gina's setups are always bad."

"Yep," he nodded, "i was on my way out and saw Yn."

Jake did eventually - with a compromise of another drink each - get us outside. He dragged Chuck to his car, with me trailing behind as i was holding his hand.

"Okay, i'm taking you both home," Jake said pushing us into the back of his car.

"But he's coming to my place, his car is there," i told him, leaning forward between the front seats.

"Then i hope you feel comfortable giving me your address, because i'm driving you both there," he said sternly, "and get your goddamn seatbelt on, Captain."

Peralta knocked on my office door first thing, and i let him in, closing the door behind him. There was a cocky smirk on his face, "so how was your date last night?"

"Jake, i'm sorry about that, you shouldn't have had to do that," i told him, "but thank you."

"I'd do anything for Boyle," he shrugged, "plus i wouldn't have left you alone while in that state. It's no problem at all, Captain."

"I hope it won't make you think differently of me."

"Only in the best possible way," he smirked a cheeky smirk, "where is Chuck by the way?"

"Oh, he ran an errand for me," i nodded, "he'll have an excuse though, so i'm gonna need you to go along with that."

"Of course," he nodded, but he had a mischeivious look on his face.

"You got your case, Peralta," i chuckled, "don't get cocky."

"Yep, good point, i'll go along with his lie," he nodded.

"Thanks," i said as he walked into the office.

"Hey, Yn, i got the-" he started but then saw Jake, "oh hey."

I took the bag from him, "i appreciate it, thank you so much."

"It's the very least i could do, considering..."

"Oh my god, you slept together," Jake gasped, "and you didn't use protection!"

"Jake-"

"Peralta, you're dismissed," i glared at him.

He left reluctantly and i looked up at Chuck as i took the pill he'd gotten me, "thank you. Last night was great."

"Yeah, i had fun," he nodded, "suppose i'd better get to work though."

"Meet me at noon in the evidence locker?"

"Definitely," he smirked.
