Rosa's POV

"Yes, i'm seeing someone."

"What's her name?" Jake asked, i'd slipped up and now he wouldn't let it go.

"I'm not telling you."

"Come on," he pleaded, "i'll drop it if you tell me her name!"

"Fine, it's Yn."

"Huh, funny. That's my sister's name, too," he smiled. If only he knew.

"Now drop it."

"Okay, it's been dropped," he smirked then laughed, "imagine if it was my sister, though."

"I said drop it," i glared at him.

"Okay, okay," he said defensively.

---

"Whatcha writing?" i asked her, she was already up when i woke up.

"I got a letter this morning, i have to write back," she glanced up at me and smiled.

I sat next to her, "who's it from?"

She handed it over instead of answering me, it was in the envelope... that was addressed to Yn Peralta. What?

"Wait, Peralta?"

"Yeah?" she looked up at me, confused.

"Your last name is Peralta?"

"Yes...? Why, what's wrong with that?"

"Are you related to Jake?"

"How do you know Jake?" she frowned, "he's my brother..."

Yn's POV

I pulled the blanket over the two of us, "do you wanna watch a movie?"

"Do we have time? What time is Jake home?"

"He told me he wouldn't be back til late," i told Rosa.

Sometimes i forgot that she worked with my brother, that was an awkward converstaion when we found out. It was extra awkward that they knew each other, as he didn't know i was into girls, so if he saw us, i couldn't pull the usual friends excuse, as he knew Rosa was seeing someone.

"Okay, what movie?"

"Die Hard," i smiled.

"Oh god, sometimes you're the same person," she chuckled.

"Sorry," i blushed, "what would you prefer?"

We watched Rosa's favorite movie, but half way through, we heard the front door.

My head snapped toward the door and i jumped over the couch and into the hallway, "whatcha doing back so early?" i asked when my brother appeared.

He raised a brow, "uh, i forgot something. Is there a problem?"

"Nope," i said too quickly.

"Do you have someone over?" he frowned.

I shook my head, but it was too late. "What was our one rule, Yn?" he sighed.

"I can't have guys over..."

"Exactly," he huffed and stormed into the living room, but stopped short.

Rosa was stood, i didn't know whether she'd tried to leave or hide or whatever, but she stood there as they stared at each other.

"Huh," he nodded, slowly stepping out of the living room and going to his room.

"Jake, i..." i sighed, but he ignored me.

"I should go," Rosa said as she grabbed her jacket and slipped it on.

"Okay, if you feel like it's best," i nodded, "i'm here if you need me..."

She nodded, but without another word, she left.

I followed Jake upstairs and knocked on his door. I decided to walk in when he didn't answer, "Jake, you can't just not say anything."

"Why didn't you tell me?" he asked, but his eyes stayed focused on the floor in front of him.

"We figured it'd be best, she didn't want it to be weird in work," i explained, but he looked at me then, and shook his head.

"Yn, you know exactly what i mean."

I bit my lip and shrugged, "i didn't know what you'd think..."

"Yn, you're my sister, i don't care who you're with, i just want you to be happy," he said softly, "though, i can't tell you i'll beat her up if she breaks your heart..." I chuckled, leaning into him. He continued, "Rosa would beat the living crap outta me."

I laughed, "probably, yeah. She always wins when we fight.. obviously the fighting isn't flr real."

"Yeah, you'd be hospitalised," he chuckled.

"I wouldn't be that bad!"

"Yn, she's a cop," he laughed, "and a badass one."

"True, yeah she'd kill me, wouldn't she?"

"Probably," he nodded, "anyway, i assume she left, so you wanna come for a few drinks with Charles and me?"

"Yeah, i'd like that," i nodded and he grabbed his wallet from his desk, "c'mon."
