Chapter 1: New friends?

As you slowly opened your eyes, you saw a figure standing right in front of you.

"New friend?" a voice said, it was full of excitement and eagerness. The mysterious figure grabbed your hand and held you up. Once you were standing, you saw a happy face, with a moon on one side and a bright yellow sun on the other. It had spikes on its face and a big wide grin. Its clothes weren't modern, but were fun and playful.

A screen popped up in your vision, it said 'Hello y/n! It is the first day of your job, you will be replacing an old animatronic who is due to be destroyed. We have upgraded your voice box and eyes (your old ones weren't functional). Enjoy!' the animatronic held you up.

'Hey there, friend! You're my new assistant! Here is the charging station, use it anytime you like, you are in charge of getting the children to sleep! I'm SunDrop, you can call me Sunny or Sun if you'd like! What's your name?' you responded with your given name. 'Y/n, huh? That's cute! Wanna play some games? Arts and crafts? I have glitter glue!" Sundrop said with excitement.

Before SunDrop could continue, a young child came crashing into the ball pit. Before you could thank him, he went rushing to the kid, embracing him with pure joy. It almost seemed... cute.

"Y/n! This is Charlie! He is new here, but he really likes you! Want to play?" You walked towards the child and he seemed comforted.

Once you crouched down, he started chanting, "Piggy back!! Piggy back!!" You lifted him up, making sure not to hurt him. He was laughing and kicking his legs in the air.

Soon, another kid came rushing in, and another, and another. Kids were sliding in until the daycare seemed full to the brim! Things started to get unnerving. You had no idea what to do and your partner was completely perfect at it. Soon, Sundrop ran towards you and easily got the attention of all the children.

"Hey kids! This is Y/n! She is new here, so be nice! Now, let's all go finger paint!" All the kids seemed to either run towards sun or stare at you with awe. You waved, hoping someone would help you. SunDrop walked towards you.

"Hey sunshine! Are things going well? The kids are having lots of fun! Come on, I'll tell you everything you need to know."

You walked beside him. He seemed to know every kid really well, it almost felt like they were his children.

"So, every hour the lights turn off. Now, if you turn them off before the hour, you will get punished, so, stay away from the light switch! When the lights go off, you'll be alone. You will have to make sure everyone goes to sleep, but don't worry! All you have to do is sing them a lullaby and tuck them in. You can also give them these candies! They make them fall asleep in a heartbeat, that's all you really need to know, see you later partner!" SunDrop pranced away, as you watched him give the children some candies that seemed to make them happier, you placed your candies in a hatch near your arm.

The lights were about to go out and SunDrop ran towards the ball pit, he shouted out."It's your turn, Sunshine!" Then jumped in just before the lights went off. All the children looked at you, it was unnerving but you knew what to do. You opened your arm hatch, "Who wants candy?" all the kids looked at me, this time with hope and pure joy. I gave out each and every 

one of my candies, soon all of the kids were dead asleep and it was just me.

It was rather peaceful.

I spent my time exploring the daycare, and I found many notable places and enjoyed it. Suddenly, the lights went on.

"Hoo Hoo HOO!" Sun jumped up from the ball pit, he had glitter glue, cardboard and some paper. He laughed as all the children woke up and ran to him. He picked up a few and started to walk towards you.

"Hey Sunshine, I missed you! Did you miss me?" You nodded, exploring the daycare would've been plenty more enjoyable with Sun by your side. He grabbed your hand, and dragged you to a group of kids.

"Hey everyone! Let's all play with y/n! She doesn't bite, don't be scared!" all the kids looked at you, they asked you any question that popped in their minds.

Sun had his legs crossed, his hands in his lap and he was holding the biggest grin ever. He looked at you, giggled then held up a child. His smile seemed genuine, and he held the child up with full care and love. It made you smile. He looked at you and got flustered, did you look at him weirdly? As you freaked out, a child asked you a question.

"Y/n, I'm hungry! Do you have any food?" Sun jumped up, he grabbed both your hand and the child, he led you to a pizza kitchen and sat the kid down.

"Follow me, Sunshine!" he guided you to the dough, and gave you instructions. "let's play! We can make pizza together, this is the first step!" he stood behind you, and showed you where the sauce and cheese were. "Let's roll it out together, then we can put some sauce on!" He rested his head on your shoulder, and you barely could roll anything, you were too flustered.

"Something wrong, Sunshine?" you shook your head, it would be better to stay like this then ruin the moment. Once you finished the pizza, Sun looked like he had just seen his first-born child. He handed the pizza over to the child, and you both stared at each other, the child burped, it surprised you at first but you giggled.

~Time skip to closing time + POV change (first person) <3 I waved goodbye to Sun. I was getting some cleaning supplies for the daycare. We had been playing ever since this morning, it was so refreshing.

I had purpose, I wasn't just lying in the storage, rarely ever being looked at unless someone wanted to clean up. I always felt better around Sun, he made me feel important, he made me feel like a friend.

While I was walking towards the storage, Freddy interrupted me.

"Hey Superstar!" his voice was all glitched, something was wrong. I tried to ignore him, but every time I looked back, he was there. Right behind me.

"Um...Freddy? Are you ok?" he grabbed my arm, I tried to get away, but his grip was too strong. "Freddy?" I whimpered, he raised his hand and just before attacking me, his eyes seemed to go dim. His grip fell and he dropped to the floor. I let out a scream, shortly after, he stood up.

"Superstar, I am dearly sorry. I don't know what happened to me, but...you seemed to help me. Thank you."

"Freddy, what's going on? Why did you go crazy"

"I...do not know. I suspect it is something similar to everyone else, they all have been acting...out of the ordinary."

I sighed, I walked to the storage, grabbed what we needed and went back. "Sunshine! What took you so long?" Sun whined, I smiled and replied to his question with a simple answer.

"I got interrupted."
