Chapter 10: Dawns Beginning

I felt so bad, Sun had every reason to be mad at me but seeing him completely ignore me still hurt. We all walked in silence to Vanessa's office, but we knew everything we wanted to say to each other.

"Here we are, Vanessa's office!" Freddy tried to lighten up the mood, but his humble attempt failed. We all went searching, Sun just looked for her glue and pens. "Hey Superstar, come look. It looks like instructions for a deactivation code for the virus." Sun jumped up behind us. "Before we get too excited, it needs a deactivator. I think Vanessa has it on her, we should come up with a plan."

We decided to search the pizza plex separately, if we find Vanessa, we would notify each other with a Faz Watch Freddy had given to us. I waved goodbye to both of them, and started looking.

I went into the daycare first, mostly for memories. I heard a voice, it seemed familiar but it wasn't Vanessa. I inched closer, whoever it was, they were crying. It was Sun, he was drawing something with a red crayon while sobbing. I felt horrible, most of this was my fault. Before leaving, I put Sun's love letter on the floor, I didn't want to bring the guilt with me.

"You dropped this." Sun was right behind me. I got a bit scared considering how he was sobbing in the play area a few seconds ago. He was holding the love letter. I carefully took it out of his hands.

"Thank you..." I quickly left, the next place I thought of looking was the main stage. When I arrived, I saw Chica and Vanny on stage. Vanny had the deactivator, I could recognize it from the instruction sheet.

I notified both Sun and Freddy, my Faz Watch made a loud beeping sound and Vanessa looked my way. 

"Why won't you just give up?" she walked towards me, something about her made me feel... afraid. "If you don't give up, I'll make you."

"I'm not giving up." you could hear the fear in my voice.

"Chica~" Vanny's voice echoed through the hall, Chica's eyes glowed a vibrant red, she started to laugh. 

"Who wants pizza?" Her voice seemed broken, it echoed through the entire pizza plex. She grabbed her guitar and broke it into a singular sharp rod, I ripped the arm off of a security bot, for self-defense.

Sun was running in, he screamed when he saw Chica trying to kill me, it caught me off guard and Chica hit me with her guitar. Before she hit me again, I used the arm to block it, she broke through it and I had the chance to scurry away.

Sun threw glitter glue in her eyes, she screamed as she practically went blind.

"Where are you~?" I threw the broken security bot to distract Chica, she fell for the bait and I pushed her over, broke open her back and pulled out some wires.

She powered down.

"Superstar, I'm sorry I took so long, I was at the other side of-" Freddy went silent as soon as he saw Chica. "Are you two ok? What happened?"

"Vanessa turned Chica against us and I, uhm..."

"It's ok. She can be repaired. I'm so happy you're ok." 

We had a group hug; it was really comforting. I told them where Vanessa went, they followed me and Freddy noticed a special room.

"Wait here, I need to look for something first." He entered the room, he was there for around 3 minutes before we barged in, telling him if we don't hurry up Vanessa will run away.

Freddy was on both knees. He was in front of a purple bunny animatronic.

"I am sorry. This is my old companion, Bonnie. He got replaced and is now... gone." we all stood there in silence.

"We should... really get going. Vanessa could be anywhere." I held Freddy's hand. I didn't want him to feel alone.

Soon we had caught up to Vanessa. 

"Vanessa, give us the deactivator and everything will go smoothly." I knew nothing would go smoothly, but I needed to reassure myself.

"Do you really think I'll give up that easily? I have one more advantage over you."

"What could you possibly have that would give you an advantage."

"Me..." Freddy sighed. "I'm sorry Superstar."

While Freddy walked over to Vanessa, I started to tear up. I really had grown a bond with him, to me he felt like a father.

"I've gone too far to not destroy you both. Freddy, if you will?" Freddy looked to the side, he nodded. Just before he was about to walk to us, he hit Vanny and grabbed the deactivator. 

"Run superstar!!" I stood still. I didn't know what to do. Sun grabbed my hand and we ran onto the main stage. All the security bots had suddenly powered down, we knew at that moment Freddy had deactivated the switch. I checked up on Freddy. 

His arm was detached, there was a hole in his stomach and he was missing an eye.

"Freddy? Are you going to be ok?" Sun and I carried him to the safety cylinder. We both kept silent. Neither of us had forgotten what happened.

Shortly, Freddy was fixed. I put him in a Charging station and Sun went back to the daycare.

After a while, I built up the courage to speak to Sun again. I entered the daycare. I couldn't see him at all. I stepped on a piece of paper, I picked it up.

"What do you want?" Sun was behind me. He was sobbing while curled up in a ball. 

Suddenly all courage I had disappeared

"I... I wanted to apologize"

There was a short break of silence.

"I'm sorry about what happened to Moon, if there was any other way, I would definitely save him!"

"What about when I told you I love you? Why didn't you respond?"

"Vanessa had taken my voice box, I wanted to respond but I couldn't..."

"Why couldn't you just nod or hug me? You didn't have to say a single word!" 

"I... got nervous..."

We both looked down.

Sun grabbed a disc. "I've got something to calm your nerves."

He inserted the disc in a disc player, it sounded like something you'd hear at a ball. He held his hand out.

"Care for a dance?" 

I reached my hand out, and we danced until our batteries grew low. I started to tear up, Sun hugged me and wiped my tears away.

"I... I love you," I said through tears "I want to... be your Sunshine." 

Sun looked at me, his face was full of pure joy. 

"I love you too, Sunshine"
