Cassie's POV

When the day ended we went to my sister's house and ordered pizza. That day Brandon had called me three times but I just ignored his calls. While we were eating pizza, I told my sister that I was going to go to the bathroom. She only nodded. When I came back, my sister had a weird smile but I didn't pay attention to it. She told me

"Hey, I just reserved a place for us to go under the moonlight in the next two days, I hear that there was going to be a really good singer"

"Ok thanks, I'm going to go and sleep" The next two days, Brandon didn't call me at all and that was getting me sadder because I thought that he had already moved on. When it was finally time for the reservation I changed into a black dress and white sneakers. Then, Amy and I got to the place and the whole time Amy was texting someone, I just shrugged it off, not really thinking anything about it. When we finally got there I heard a voice that was too recognizable not to know, but I thought I was hallucinating, but when we got closer I saw him. Brandon was there, in a seat with a guitar and a microphone and he started saying "I know this girl that thinks that I broke her heart, and I didn't mean it, Cass I know you are here and I just wanted to say that the video was edited, I would have never done that" I believed him I just felt something in my heart that told me that he was saying the truth.

"I will sing the song we sang together the time I asked you to be my girlfriend and when you are or if you are ready please sing with me," he said and that is when he started singing I knew I would start at the same time as before because in my heart I had forgiven him, and I just needed my mind to do it too. So he started to sing,

I miss the taste of your lips on Sunday

And the sound of your laugh when I say something funny

But nobody heard it, except for you

And my mom still ask about you

I lie and say we friendly

'Cause I don't have it in me, to tell the truth

After he sang that part I knew I was going to sing the next part so I started to walk forward.

You and me, what are we if we are not together?

It could be nothing 'cause nothing last forever

If you saw me on the train would you look the other way?

Like strangers do

And if you passed me on the street

Would you look down at your feet

And move on through?

Like strangers do

When I started singing, people started to make space for me to walk on, and Brandon finally saw me and we looked at each other's eyes the whole time while we sang.

I miss the way that you looked in your sundress

The way that you looked when you undressed

The sound of your first steps across the room

Now my friends don't ask about you

'Cause they think I'm fine without you

I say it's all good but it's never true (oh, no, no, woah)

You and me, what are we if we not together?

It could be nothing 'cause nothing last forever

If you saw me on the train would you look the other way?

Like strangers do

And if you passed me on the street

Would you look down at your feet

And move on through?

Like strangers do (strangers do)

Our voices sounded so good together just like last time.

La-la-la, la la-la-la

La-la-la, la la-la-la

La-la, la-la (like strangers do, no)

La-la-la, la la-la-la

La-la-la, la la-la-la

La-la, la-la

I let him sing cause this was the part where he sang alone. While he sang I was standing in front of him and we just looked at each other's eyes. Then I sang along with him the last words of the song.

If you saw me on the train would you look the other way?

Like strangers do

And if you passed me on the street

Would you look down at your feet

And move on through?

Like strangers do

Those were the last words of the song and when we finished, he kissed me through tears and I kissed him too. When we pulled apart everyone was clapping, we left the stage and went towards my sister.

"This is my sister Amy and this is Brandon, my boyfriend," I said with a wide smile.

"Oh, we kind of already met," Amy said

"What, how?" I asked

"Well remember that day when we were eating pizza, well when you went to the bathroom Brandon called and I answered and I was going to tell him to leave you alone, but he explained everything to me, so I told him that I would pay him a ticket to come here and told him what to do, and if you guys didn't makeup after he sang that there was no way of fixing it and he immediately agreed" I smiled at them, and for the rest of the day we were together, days after we went back to Chicago, our friends made us a welcome back party, and I was so happy to be with my friends again and I finally felt like I belonged somewhere.
