James and I walked hand in hand down a couple of twisty hallways, which were in a lot better condition then the ones we walked through when I got hear a couple of days ago.

James gave my hand a tight squeeze and we walked through a door and into a room that looked like a library.

I saw Jacob sitting behind a desk, with a woman sitting next to her, she looked pretty, but she had a scar right under her right eye, that stretched down her cheek and stopped at her jaw, it looked as if it was caused by a knife...

I smiled as best as I could at her, which wasn't much, it feels like my heart has been ripped out of my chest, and continually stomped on.

I managed to hide the grimace of pain, Ruby, she gave her life for yours. A voice in the back of my mind reminded me, I felt like crying, if I wasn't born, she would still be here, she would be alive.

I didn't even notice that I was crying until James screamed my name, "what... what is it?" I whispered looking at him.

"You started crying, are you okay?" he asked worriedly, looking over me for any physical injuries.

"I'm fine," I whispered, he nodded but didn't look convinced.

"So Scarlet, we have been living hear, in secret for 100s of years," Jacob started, as James and I sat in the chairs across from him, "when the battle ended, we have been building our technology, our health, everything, we are even more advanced then the other countries. But they don't know it, we've been planning our attack on them, it's supposed to take place in a couple of years."

I nodded, and after talking to him for a couple minutes more, James and I went to eat, then to my room, he laid on the bed with me and I laid my head on his chest, "is it weird?" I asked randomly.

"Is what weird?" he wondered, curiosity leaking into his voice.

"You know, this, we don't know each other at all, and yet I'm completely comfortable with you. You could kill me anytime you want and I wouldn't be able to defend myself, yet I feel safe." I whispered curling further into his side, hiding my red face in his chest.

I felt him start to vibrate, indicating that he was laughing, once he stopped he forced me to look at him, "I love you more then my own life, I don't care if you kill me, because if you killed me now or ever, it would mean that you didn't love me, not even a little, and I'd rather be dead, 6 feet under the ground, then ever see that day."

I smiled at him and kissed him lightly, then cuddled into his side and that is where I spent the rest of the dat and that evening.
