Chapter 7

I follow the 2 men to a building on the Far East side of the city. Sam swung open the door and stalked inside, James squeezed my hand and tugged me inside the building. Inside the building it was a little run down. The carpet had mud, foot shaped stains. The walls that were probably white at one point are know a yellowish color. James squeezed my hand again and tugged me down a dark halway, beehind Sam. I could barley see after only a minute of walking down this halway,the ground was flat and I could tell buy the noise our feet were making that we were walking carpet. Soon James pulled me to a stop he let go of my hand. If it wasnt for his steady breathing near by that I could hear I would have sworn that he left me alone in the darkness. I heard a few clicks the squeak of a hinge, and I still didn't see anything. His hand turned up out of no where and graped mine. I had to stop myself from screaming. What the fuck was I thinking? I don't even know these people! I took a deep breath, its for Ruby. I remind myself and allow James, at least I think its him, to continue to tug me further into the darkness. We took a few turns and after about five minutes, James stopped again and stoped me with his arm. I heard a few clicks then the same squeak and suddenly light poured out of this doorway. James grabbed my hand and tuggedd me into the light of a brilliantly lit room. James looked at me and saw the question in mmy eyes, how? Anyone that they dropped off here had no supplies, and last time I checked thats what you need if your going to make electricity and computers. James looked at me and spoke "the Americans were never defeated, they been in hiding, here or other places simular to this one. This is your new home, welcome to the rebellion." I felt my eyes get big then the darkness enclosed around me.
