"After only a few years we have grown so much, our home has grown so much. It isn't just a home for a couple broken children but a community for children and adults alike who now lived and thrived behind these walls. People of all sorts, human or not where all alike here.
Being a main founder of the fire lights is great, but it's a burden to bear. The people who live here are your burden, your responsibility. The blood that's spilled is on your hands. Therefore we take care of each other, for everything we've got. In this home we are together, we work with each other for our freedom, our future. I belive in us, in every soul in this place that we will do whatever we can to protect each and everyone of you unlike how we failed this time.
I mourn the loss of Adale, she was a great inventor and a great friend to not just me but also my sibling. She will forever be remembered and loved on the tree of the fire lights"
Ekko spoke with with fondness in his voice. I finished the last brush stroke, jumping down and putting the paint away for people to look upon it in awe and sadness. A few sobs and whimpers were heard from the people that surrounded the painting, the flowers beneath it and the vines growing along side it.
"It's beautiful Y/n, thank you" Ekko put a hand on my shoulder, he had grown just a bit taller than me but it still had made him look up to me more, and the same went for me.
The first time we saved someone was a man named Scar, he was under the control of Silco's shimmer. He was wild but with help he returned to himself. Claggor and I started looking into making weapons, armory and soon we had the hoverboards. They ofcourse wheren't as safe as they could be but it's the most efficient way to have them for now. We had made the masks, the outfits everything to work properly for our missions, our lives. Ekko and Powder helped immensely and were the faces of the cause. We even made time warping devices that helped us in battle.
Funerals were expected, and this wasn't the first, but it hurt just as much, every single time. Me and Mylo were the ones always going on rescue missions, healing and helping people back into themselves. We always got the most attached, it hurt so much but we couldn't help it.
As the funeral started to end I saw Mylo was now missing yet again. I greeted a few people, gave some hugs and held a weeping mans hands and wishing them all well. I walked over the small bridge and opened the door to our now livingroom, old bedroom. I climbed up the ladder and past mine and Claggors research station and into our bedroom. Mylo was lying on our shared bed, flat on his back and hair lying wild on the mattress.
"Hey" I greeted him, laying down next to him, he just hummed in response. His hands were resting together on his stomach. The two of us started sharing a bed so Ekko and Powder could move up here aswell and make space for others downstairs. It worked and we started rebuilding the sleeping quarters the place was now huge with beds, hammocks and so much more.
"It's my fault" he suddenly said. "It's not your fault Mylo" I turned my head towards him "it's my fault. I told her to take a right and she died. Adale died because of me" he gestured with his hands frantically before letting out a sob. His hands fell to his sides and I immediately pulled him closer to me. "It's not your fault, okay? It's not your fault. It's no ones fault. The enforcers weren't supposed to be there. We wouldn't have known anyways" I told him as he wrapped his arms around my waist and buried his face in my chest. "It's not your fault Mylo" I held up his head so he would look at me. "You are Not at fault here. No one is. No one knew" I repeated to him and he sniffled and nodded. I kissed him on the forehead before kissing down the bridge of his nose and then his forehead. He smiled softly and leaned into my hands, holding onto my right one. "Thank you" he replied before closing his eyes and lying down again, pulling me with him. He nuzzled his face into the crook of my neck and wrapped his arms around my warms, I let mine go around his shoulders, letting him sleep for a bit.
