On the plane, I found it quite boring. Papa was telling me about the house. At first it was fun, I was asking all sorts of questions about the mansion, the dogs and the giant outdoor swimming pool! I loved hearing about Papa and Mama's husky dogs. I know that they were under the plane in their large crates but I wanted to know what they enjoyed doing when Mama and Papa were in their large mansion.

"Where do you live? What is the country called?" I asked.

"Well, Elizabeth, in America, the countries are called states. I live in a state called New York. I live in the country side. It's a massive house that we can have some fun with you." Papa explained.

America sounded complicated. I didn't understand at that time what a state was.

"Will I ever be a big sister?" I asked.

"Maybe. It depends on if me and Papa can do it together." Mama replied.

I was confused. Why would Mama not know if her and Papa couldn't have a child.

"Have you ever been a sister?" Papa asked.

"In my old foster home, I was a younger sister to my foster mother's sister. Her name was Simone and I didn't really like her." I explained.

"Why didn't you like her?" Mama asked.

"It was because Simone was horrible. She pulled my hair whenever I was asleep. She was really annoying." I explained.

Mama really understood.

"It's alright. I have a younger brother his name is Sky." Mama explained.

So I had an uncle!

"Did your old foster mother tell you about us?" Mama asked.

"No. I only knew about the adoption when you and Papa told me." I truthfully said.

Mama was shocked. Clearly Papa didn't know either.

We heard the pilot through the speakers and he was going on about putting on seat belts for landing. I didn't even know that airplanes had seat belts!

"Put your arms forward." Mama asked.

I held my arms in front of me as Mama belted my seat belt. She then did her own while Papa did his own seat belt.

I really loved it with Mama and Papa and I had only spent a day with them.

I couldn't wait to see Jack and Jill. I knew that we were going to be so close together.
