Mike's POV

A look of shock washes over my face as I realized what I just did.  I go to stop Cass, but I'm too late.  She's already gone.  I run inside after her.  When I get into the living room, mom's standing in front of the sofa, staring at the front door.

"Have you seen Cass?" She jerks over towards me.

"What did you do?" I shake my head.

"Where's Cass?"

"She just grabbed Mere then ran out the front door. What..."  I run out the front door before she has a chance to finish.  I see the van tearing down the road, and my heart breaks.  I let out a frustrated scream, then run back inside.  Mom walks up to me and grabs my shoulder.  "Mike.  What's going on?"  I sit down frustrated at myself, getting mom's couch soaking wet.

"I hit Cass." She gasps.

"Mike Williams!" I bury my head in my hands.  "How could you?!"  I groan as Aunt makayla, Aunt Katie, and Hannah run into the room looking worried.  Kaleb's not to far behind them, a smug look on his face.

"I don't know what happened.  I was just so mad about everything."  Mom walks over to me and smacks me across the face.  Aunt Katie runs over to her and grabs her before she can hit me again.

"What's going on?! Cassy, why'd you..."

"He fucking hit Cass!"  Hannah turns toward me hurt.  There's another roar of thunder, and the kids start screaming.  I pick up Noah and Ty and start rocking them in a dazed state.  My whole worlds been turned around in a couple of days.

"What?"

"He hit Cass, and Cass grabbed Mere and is now nowhere to be found!"  I watch as Hannah pulls her phone out of her pocket and walks into the other room.  I look over at a smirking Kaleb, and I have to use all of my will power not to run over there and punch him.  This is all his fault!  Aunt Makayla walks over to me and picks up a screaming Danny and starts rocking her.  The kids are all terrified of storms, and I know the fight breaking out around them isn't helping.  I sigh as everyone starts screaming over everyone else.  Between the kids, the people around me, and the storm, I can hardly hear myself think.

"Everyone shut up!"  It quiets down some as everyone turns and stares at me.  "Okay.  i know I made a mistake, and I'm gonna fix this.  But until the kids calm down, I can't do anything.  And everyone screaming isn't helping."  I sigh for the fiftieth time that night as I sit back down on the couch and try to come up with a plan.

I try in vain hope to get the boys to quit screaming, but to no avail.  I sigh again as my phone starts ringing.  I quickly pull it out hoping it's Cass, but an unknown number appears on the screen.  I press ignore just to have the same number call me again.  I finally give in and answer it.

"Hello?"

Hannah's POV

I'm talking to Aunt Makayla and Aunt Katie in the kitchen after Cocoa's party when screams start drifting in from the living room.

"Mike Williams!  How could you?!"  We all jump up and run into the living room where mom is standing over Mike.  We watch in horror as mom slaps Mike.  Aunt Katie runs over and grabs mom's hand.

"What's going on?  Cassy, Why'd you..."  Mom interrupts Aunt Katie.

"She fucking hit Cass."  I gasp and death glare over at Mike.  A roll of thunder shakes the house, and the kids start to cry.  Aunt Katie looks shocked at mom.
