20. My Miracle

James POV:

I soon feel Rileys lips against mine and am slightly taken aback, that is until I start kissing her back. I feel my heart begin to pound against my chest. This is what Ives been waiting for all those years...

All those years I've been watching from afar knowing she'd never want anything to do with a guy like me, I watched as she got her first boyfriend, as she kissed him by the school gate every morning, as she was pushed and shoved around by him, as she was used and mentally abused for so long and couldn't help but want to knock him over and scream.

All those years I'd fantasise over what we could be in the future, how we could move in and start a small family together, how we could get married under the summer sun on a beach before going on a honeymoon to an exotic island, how we could laugh and joke around for hours with each other in a field of roses...

But never did I think anything I imagined would actually stand a chance of becoming reality. I couldn't believe it.

The kiss was full of passion and I couldn't help but get carried away. Everything that happened earlier no longer concerns me. All I care about is her. And that's all I've ever cared about.

After a good couple minutes of kissing she pulls away for air, and so do I. She drops down, her arms still around my neck, as she rests her head on my chest. I move my hands so there wrapped around her waist, holding her close.

We both enjoy each others embrace in complete silence. But the silence is calming and peaceful as her breathing starts to slowly return to how it was.

Once we had both processed fully the situation were in she slowly loosens her grip and pulls away from the hug. Not stepping to far back though.

"do you believe me now..?" she raises an eyebrow up at me.

I lean in a let my lips linger on hers for a few seconds before pulling away.

"I think I do..." I smile down at her and try take every inch of her in. She just smiles softly back up at me and kisses my cheek.

Without another word we laugh in unison slightly before walking off back to my car, hand in hand. In a comfortable silence.

The car ride is calm and perfect I couldn't be more happier after what had just happened. She kissed me! She kissed ME! I'm the luckiest guy on the planet.

After losing my parents and sister I thought nothing good would ever come my way and now I've been blessed with a miracle. Her...

"James? Do you want to head to the studio?" Riley asks breaking the silence.

"it won't be open yet will it?" I say softly.

"ya I know studio A won't be, but.. I was thinking we could see if the music room was free, since it's open all day, and clean are duet for a bit? If you want to of course..."

"well we can do anything else, so I'm up for some extra rehearsal, with you.. " I smile widely at her then, she then mimics my action. God she was beautiful.

So once the green light flashed I turned and started to head in the direction of the studio, with my little miracle by my side.
