Mirabel's POV
Last night was awful... Antonio's gift ceremony was amazing. But those cracks. They were horrible. And y/n hasn't spoken to me since. They seem distant.
It was time for breakfast outside and I needed to find out what happened to the house last night. Who would have heard it?.. Deloris!
After I go outside I see Deloris with an unusually large amount of food. I think nothing of it.
"Deloris, hey! You know how you're my favourite cousin ever? Well maybe you might know what might have happened to the magic last night because you hear everything and i know i saw what i saw so tell me what you heard!..." I say getting quieter with every word.
"Hey Camilo what do you think of this outfit?" Y/n comes around the corner as 'Deloris' changes into Camilo. Felix then shoos him and y/n off for being mischievous.
"I don't know about the magic but i heard Luisa's eye twitching all night. She knows something. Better asking her. hmm" Deloris then walks away with a few plates putting them on the table as everyone sits down. I sit next to Luisa. As Abuela sits at the head of the table.
"Luisa, hey. I know you know about last night. What's up?" Her eye twitches as she looks at me slowly. "AHA! YOU DO KNOW!" I make everyone jump.
"Casita" Abuela says as Casita takes my chair go next to hers.
Abuela says a few words before telling everyone what they're doing around town today. "I'll help Luisa!" Abuela says no. However, when everyone is tucking into their breakfast, i look over at Luisa and she's already gone! I look over at y/n and signal for then to come with me.
"On my way Mirabel!" We chase after Luisa as I explain to y/n what I've found out.
"Luisa! Hey!" She's putting donkeys on her back as she's talking to us. "What are you nervous about huh? I know you know something sis!" I bother her until she breaks.
"I'm the strong one, I'm not nervous
I'm as tough as the crust of the earth is" Luisa breaks a rock with her butt (Oop)
"I move mountains, I move churches
And I glow 'cause I know what my worth is" She sings this time breaking a rock on her head. "Ouch" I hear y/n say as if to feel Luisa's pain.
"I don't ask how hard the work is
Got a rough indestructible surface
Diamonds and platinum, I find 'em, I flatten 'em"
"I take what I'm handed, I break what's demanding, But! Under the surface!"
"I feel berserk as a tightrope walker in a three-ring circus"
"Under the surface. Was Hercules ever like 'Yo, I don't wanna fight Cerberus'?" I start to feel bad for my older sister as she slowly opens up to me...
"Under the surface! I'm pretty sure I'm worthless if I can't be of service!"
"A flaw or a crack"
"The straw in the stack"

Pressure like a drip, drip, drip that'll never stop, whoa"
"Pressure that'll tip, tip, tip 'till you just go pop, whoa"
"Give it to your sister, your sister's older. Give her all the heavy things we can't shoulder"
"Who am I if I can't run with the ball?
If I fall...." Luisa finishes and stands there nearly in tears as she's just opened up a lot to me and y/n.
"L- Luisa I had no idea... I'm so sorry.." Luisa pulls me into a bone crushing embrace as y/n stands there awkwardly.
"Last night... when you saw the cracks i felt... WEAK!" Luisa looks hurt by her own words when she turns and picks up another donkey and puts it on her back. "I heard that before tío Bruno left, he had this crazy vision about the house breaking down or something. If i wanted to find out what happened I'd check his room first. But be careful. That place is off limits for a reason!"
I guess we check there then...
