*Panting*

"Fuck."

I felt nothing as I sat up from the strange bed as the other side went down. The random guy I just had sex with breathing hard as if he ran a marathon. Cool air hits my bare skin as I removed the blanket from over my body. My feet touched the cold, wooden floor as I headed to the bathroom to clean myself off. I hopped into the shower washing away the sweat and semen that has been left on body. I ran my face under the water as my mind went completely blank. I had no emotions right now. I was simply ready to go home.

Ten minutes later I walk out of the bathroom in the clothes I had on before. All that could be heard was the AC blowing and the snores from the man who was just up twenty minutes ago thinking he was fucking my brains out. I rolled my eyes as I grabbed my phone, keys and shoes and walked out of the door knowing I'll never step foot in that apartment ever again.

I walked down the street heading back to the place my boring night started. Moonlit Bar and Lounge. I go there once a week looking for something new, something fun. Yet at the end of the night, I just end up back home feeling nothing but boredom and maybe a bit of loneliness.

I walk under the city lights. The humid air hitting my face as I turn corner after corner. Not a single soul dares to walk the street at this hour yet I do. Not unless they were drunk or homeless. I put in my AirPods and begun playing my "Another Night" playlist. First song to play was Careless by Katya Mila. Anything to push out the quiet. Anything to keep me from being trapped by my thoughts.

The street was so quiet, but I wouldn't expect anything different with this neighborhood. I stopped for a minute and looked around. There wasn't anyone or anything around. Nothing moved, not a single car or figure moved. You would believe time had stop. I felt as if I were living in some sort of aesthetic I'm always seeing on Pinterest.

Since there was no one or nothing to stop me, I walked off of the sidewalk and into the middle of the street walking along the yellow stripes. I increased the volume of my music as high it would go and continued to the Bar that was right around the corner. I just wanted to get to my car and drive home. I could use a glass of wine and a hot bath right now. I didn't care that it was after 2AM right now. I just needed to relax for once.

After five more minutes of walking, I finally made it to the bar

After five more minutes of walking, I finally made it to the bar. There were no more than six cars left in the parking lot. I was considering going in and grabbing a quick drink, but I decided not to. Even though I may miss the interesting fights that will most likely happen between the bartender and the people who had a little too much to drink.

I got into my car and started heading home. While driving I passed a Starbucks. I've never been to one, so I decide that I'll go just for the heck of it. Who knows how the day will go. I turned up the radio and saw headlights from upcoming cars. For the first time tonight, I finally felt something.
