Laughter and screams could be heard from every direction. Colorful flags flew in the wind all around, lines the length of football fields twisted and turned every corner. The smell of corn dogs and other concession stand items hit your nose everywhere you walked causing your stomach to growl and mouth to water. Your typical amusement park. Full of happy childen, content parents and annoyed workers who claim to dislike childen yet works at a place filled with them. They just here for the perks, but everyone else is here for the thrill, the excitement, the family fun that you can't get everywhere. A place where hard working parents can forget about work and spend the day with their kids.
We've been walking around all day. We have been on almost every ride twice. I cannot deny the happiness in my heart watching William with his kids. I watched him and Sophia as they got their faces painted. Sophia talked us into it and it was funny watching William get bright colored swirls and glitter on his face. Johnathan was playing ring toss while he waited for them to finish.
Once all was done we went to the Ferris Wheel for a final ride. The kids ended up on a separate cart from William and I, leaving me alone with him. We went up in silence until it reached a stop leaving us at the very top. I didn't know what to say to him or how to speak to him. We were just sitting there in silence for what felt like hours until he spoke.
"Thank you for today. It was fun except for the becoming a rainbow part." He looked at me pointing to the colors painted on his skin.
"You needed it and they needed it so no need to thank me." I smiled and continued eating the cotton candy that was still in my hand.
"How did you manage to get us in for free and with fast passes to skip the lines?" He asked me continuing our conversation. It was the best way to pass time up while stuck up here.
"I worked here once upon a time, the man who runs the amusement park was and still is very fond of me so he granted me a favor." I answered his question with a small smirk.
"Fond, huh? Why is that?" His brows arched as he questioned my skills, causing my smirk to grow. At that moment before I could answer the ride started back moving. Before it could stop at the bottom I answered him.
"I was his best worker and he gave me chances to expand my businesses so no sassy business or whatever you were thinking of."
Once the ride stopped at the bottom I hopped off and walked towards the kids who were waiting for William and I. We left the park in a car full of stuff animals that were won and headed home. Well their home at least. We stopped and got ice cream which Sophia demanded. With Johnathan and I following along with her demand for ice cream.
When we arrived to the house, Krissy was in a black, cocktail dress with thin straps and black pumps. She was about to leave as we were coming in. She looked at the kids with smiles but looked at me with a nasty look. She walked passed me to a annoyed William. I took the kids to the kitchen and left the couple to take. Soon as I walked into the kitchen I heard the mumbled yells from the two followed by the slam of the door and heavy footsteps going upstairs.
I looked at the time and saw it was after 10. I told the kids it was time to get ready for bed. I took Sophia upstairs so I could help her get the paint off of her face. I could see how exhausted she was. I went to find William as she requested so he could tuck her in. Her usual request.
I walked towards the master bedroom and enter inside. The door was wide open but I still knocked and called out to William. I saw thee bathroom door was crack and steam from the shower coming through it. I walked closer and began to talk but I lost all words when I saw him. The steam from shower eased down and I saw William standing in front of the mirror in a towel. Just a towel. The muscles of his back had to be sculpted by an angel. I saw a few tattoos and I felt warm inside. Tattoos have always been my weakness. I didn't even know he had any tattoos.
The water drops from the shower dripped down his muscles and tats. The sight of it caused me to lose my balance and hit the door. The door opened wider and Will quickly turned around to face me. His lips formed a smirk and I felt even hotter.
"Need something?" He spoke taking my mind from my embarrassment and back to him. Now he facing me and I can see his ads and biceps. I felt like I drooling as I stared at his perfect body. Krissy should be here worshipping his perfect body and not out doing whatever. I didn't know I staring until William cleared his throat.
"Oh, I-I was coming to tell you that Sophia is in bed and is asking for you." I stuttered but managed to get my sentence out.
He stared into my eyes and I lost my train of thought. I looked at his face and saw smudges of the pink and yellow flowers still there. I could tell he was trying to scrub it off but it was no use. The dye of the paint was on his his skin too long.
I walked towards him, entering the bathroom completely. I grabbed a towel from the cabinet and poured remover on it. The same thing I used to remove mine and Sophia's.
I looked into William's eyes while I stood close to him. He nodded then turned his head giving me access to the covered area. I stretched up to reach his face. I've never paid much attention to our height difference until now. I've never blushed so hard standing this close to him either.
Seeing every detail up close is driving me nuts. I feel my knees begin to weaken. I try to hurry and remove all the paint so I can quickly leave. But leaving would have to wait because what happened next stopped me from doing so. Instead my hunger for him grew even stronger.
