chapter 27

jenny's pov:

"you know what will happen if you don't do your job properly, right?" my dad whispered to me. then, I saw a mafia guy who looked just like jungkook. I was pretty shocked. I seriously hate my dad. why is he using me to kill someone? "let's get into the plan," the mafia guy said while staring at me.

I seriously don't know why my dad wants to kill Jojo. I have to find it." how about kidnapping jungkook? you can be in the place of him." I asked him." what do you think Mr. mafia? I added."why should I be in his place to kill her? and my name is baek Kyung" because I want to know why he wants to kill Jojo, I can't make the same mistake again" I murmured."just do as I say!" I shouted.

then, I explained to him the plan. I seriously don't want to kill anyone. my plan is just to find the reason behind doing this." I hate people who are bossy" he whispered to me giving me a death stare. I stepped back while he was coming forward towards me. he pinned me against the wall. there was only an inch gap between us." you think I will just trust you and corporate with your plan?" he asked me and gave me a stare to explain.

my heartbeat was faster. maybe because he is a mafia who kills people. I explained to him properly about the plan and said I will pay him more money if he do what I say." it's gonna be interesting" he said and smirked.

can't believe I became a friend of a mafia guy, I mean baek Kyung. can I believe him? dad said we have to go with a plan within a week.

baek Kyung's pov:

"why would you agree to this case?" one of my men asked. I didn't answer him. maybe because I am curious about the guy who looks just like me and working with jenny was something different. whatever...

I was working out so hard for nearly 2 hours. Jenny walked in. we have been doing this task for nearly 3 months so we became pretty close. maybe a partner in crime?

then, after some time I was boxing." how about some martial arts?" she offered."useless if it's with you" I replied. I have always been rude and savage to her if she talks about something other than work altho we are friends." I will grant you a wish" she said."stop disturbing me and I have everything" I replied."you have a girlfriend?. I doubt that." she replied in a teasing tone. 

I know she is purposefully annoying and provoking me. so I accepted. not to mention that she is so good at martial arts. I didn't go easy on her. she was about to grab me back and pull a stunt but I didn't give her a chance instead I gave her a sudden attack which made her fall down but I gripped her since I didn't want her to get hurt. she was all over me." yeah!! baek Kyung come to your sense!!" my inner voice screamed at me.

trying to tease I asked her"who is the winner?" she got up immediately and stammered "well...now what do you want?" she asked me while regretting her deal." you"I whispered. what? she shouted. "what" I laughed and teased by her expression. I don't know why but after a very long time I didn't have an empty feeling.

but I am just saying myself to focus on the work.

I recently found out that jenny's dad is taling us so I pretended to kill Jojo. jenny also tried her best in distracting Jojo while making her angry over jenny's behavior.

then, jenny asked me so many questions out of curiosity like why are you a mafia? how many people did you kill?. I murmured, "why do you ask so many questions? two people shouldn't know each other too well if they want to fall in love". "what," she said while blocking my way. this many months being with her but we have never confessed our love although we know we love each other.

since I know about what I felt I started to distance myself from her for a week. but the next day she stopped me and said"if we could look into each other's hearts and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care." I felt guilty for treating her coldly. but then, I started to care for her although we both never confessed it till the date.

I saw Jojo lower her gun and kneel down. I raised my head and saw jenny lying down. A few drops of tears escaped from my eyes. I fought the bodyguards holding me and ran towards jenny while her dad pointed the gun towards me but Jojo shot him in his hands.

I tried waking her up but she didn't. I checked her pulse and had a blank expression. I hugged her tight and didn't let her go. but other bodyguards soon came in to fight us. but jungkook and Jojo fought them. I carried jenny and left the building.

 the fact that I didn't let her know how much I love her kills me and the fact that she won't be with me is just so unbearable. maybe in another world, another life. we were meant for a happy ending but not for this one.

I even thought I was happy. how dare I?

I should have protected her. I took the gun and stepped out to kill that psycho. Jojo and jungkook pulled me back."don't let your emotions rule you. control yourself" Jojo tried to calm down. I broke down into tears and jungkook hugged me and patted me on my back. 

Jojo then said"she is going to the station to see jenny's dad.

[at work]

you know you kill your daughter right?" Mr.jo asked him." I want my lawyer" he protested. this bitch be really kidding me. I stoke his head"how dare you beat me!!" he yelled."you didn't know right? if we have solid evidence and still if you refuse to answer our question we might kill you" I threatened him. he signaled me to come closer to him.

"you think I am the only one who is behind all this. don't you? he whispered.

"what?"
