The land of the Gods was...

Exactly how Edan had left it.

Honestly, you'd think the gods would re-decorate every few millennia or something but no. They were intensely boring. In fact, as Edan strolled through the valleys of Strength's home, even the cracks along the giant rock walls seemed to be the same size.

How dull.

"So, you've finally decided to return."

The loud and booming voice of Strength rattled through Edan's head, and he winced, blocking his ears.

"Please, inside voice," he cringed, turning around to face Strength.

Strength ignored him, and continued still in that booming voice. "Are you done playing pretend with the mortals?" Edan removed his hands from his ears and glared up at the God.

"For this millenia, at least. I may return in a few hundred years and see what's happening with them," Edan grabbed the strap of his bag on one shoulder and pulled it over his neck, dropping it on the floor and rummaging through it.

"I brought back some souvenirs though!" he continued, finally finding the objects he was looking for.

"I do not know this word, 'souvenir'," Strength said.

"Okay, you can call them gifts." With that Edan held out two objects towards Strength.

A small and elegant dagger, and a large and clunky smoke bomb. Strength hesitated for only a moment before taking them from Edan's grasp. He considered them in his hands for a minute before looking back to Edan, a question in his gaze.

Edan smiled. "Those belonged to two twins. Completely identical, but polar opposites in everything else. Both were strong, but in different ways. I thought it was worth reminding you that Strength comes in all kinds of shapes and sizes."

Strength, to Edan's surprise, bowed his head in thanks.

Next, Edan visited Knowledge.

Knowledge was in their cave, isolated and completely silent. They ignored Edan as he entered.

"Well, lovely to see you too," Edan said in response to the silence.

"What are you doing here?" was Knowledge's response.

"I come bearing souvenirs."

"Souvenirs?-"

"Just think of it as a gift."

Knowledge scoffed at him, "What gift could I possibly want from you?"

Edan smiled, and took the bag off his shoulder once more. As he rummaged through it, he spoke.

"In the mortal plane, I met a young lady."

His hands grasped the notebook he was searching for and he pulled it out.

"She was a criminal mastermind, the best at what she did."

Knowledge still looked unimpressed at him.

"She broke into the palace on the mortal plane. It took her weeks of planning, but she did it."

He held out the book.

"Here's a detailed runthrough of her plan, her sources and her equipment. The blueprints for the palace she obtained, the invitations she faked... all of it's in there. Perhaps you could ponder over it. See if you could come up with a better plan. An answer to the puzzle she already solved."

With that, Edan turned and left the cave of Knowledge.

Edan cringed as he approached his next target.
