Well well well, this is slightly awkward 😳
As many of you probably know, I've been extremely inactive on this account, this story, and on wattpad over all. I wanted to give an explanation behind the reason because I don't want to leave you all waiting for another part that may never come out. I don't know how many of you actually care about this, but I feel like it'd be good to put it out there anyway
                              Reason behind my inactivity
As of a few months ago, right about the beginning of Raiden Shogun's banner, my interest and motivation to play Genshin literally just 📉📉📉 absolutely dropped. Playing genshin felt like more of a chore than something that was supposed to be fun, and I could barely keep up with logging on every day to do daily comms. So, I just stopped. I completely stopped playing Genshin and moved onto other games such as Valorant and more recently, Beat Saber. I was burnt out on Genshin. For a long time I just brushed it off as "I'll get back on when I feel like playing again" or "When Sumeru comes out/there's content I'm interested in". Over time, I felt even worse about not playing Genshin because of some irl friends. I didn't tell them I wasn't interested in Genshin anymore and I was feeling burnt out, so they kept talking about quests/characters/banners around me. Which is completely my fault for not saying, and they're still my friends and I love them a lot, and I should've communicated that. I didn't realize this at the time, but that honestly made me feel like playing Genshin less and less, and it got to the point where I didn't even wanna see it on Instagram or stuff like that, and I started falling behind on updates. I legitimately started to wonder if I was 100% done with Genshin and I moved on. That is, until Xiao's rerun came around. Xiao is literally my favorite character, and for the entirety of the time I was playing Genshin he was my most wanted character. I heard news about his rerun so earlier today I logged on just to see the game's progress and that was when my motivation literally just skyrocketed. I am currently rolling for Xiao with about 40 pity and a 50/50 to win sadhjkahd 🙏🙏🙏. As of right now, my motivation in Genshin is restored, so I've returned to this story. That being said..
(also to make this less depressing cause after reading back on it it lowkey sounds depressing, I had a lot of fun on games such as Valorant and Beat Saber!! In fact, I still play them and am planning to play them for a long time, was just a genshin burnout 😌)
How will this affect the story?
As of right now, I am feeling motivated to continue this story. I have big plans on what will happen from this point and am lowkey excited to write them!! (like, ball your eyes out type plans, like honestly whats going on rn is just a snooze-fest compared to what I have planned 😌🙏). However, I'm not sure how long this motivation will last. Will my motivation leave once his banner is over, or is his banner enough to restore my motivation entirely? And bc we all know at how bad I am at keeping promises, I don't want to make any yet. Because tbf, even I don't know if the next part I'm posting will be my last or not. So please try not to get your hopes up, however, I will try my best to keep up with the story!
With all that being said, I'm not exactly sure when the next part will be up but expect it soon! I hope you guys have a better understanding of the situation now that I've explained it. Gl to everyone who is rolling for Shenhe and Xiao!!
