An Unexpected Visitor

Hiii! Sorry this one took a while too ahhh. I promise to be more quick when uploading the chapters, these last two I've just had a lot of distractions to stop me--
I've recently finished Jujustu Kaisen because I hopped on the bandwagon a little late but wow it is so good, seriously recommend it to anyone who's thinking of watching it!! I heard season 2 is gonna come out in 2022, so I'll be waiting for it! Probably gonna catch up to the manga real soon though

Also!! Sorry if it seems that the relationship between the reader and Hu Tao is developing slowly, I just want them to have some experience together as friends instead of having them meet then immediately in a relationship or something like that

You two wave as Hu Tao walks off, sighing to yourself as you put your hands on the rail of the bridge and look out at the water.

Zhongli | "So you came for the Lantern Rite festival, I heard?" He asked, standing beside you.

(Y/N) | You look over at him and nod. "I have. A friend back in Mondstadt said I should check it out, and from their description it seemed fun."

Zhongli | A small smile formed on his face. "I'm glad you decided to come. Well, it's getting late now. I can show you a place to stay for the night, then give you a quick tour of Liyue Harbor tomorrow before the festival if you'd like."

(Y/N) | "Really? That would be great!" You accept his offer, to which he nods and leads you to the small village on the outskirts of the harbor.

Zhongli | "The walk here to the harbor isn't long, so I trust you'll have time to get back in the morning. I'll wait by the docking station for you tomorrow. Rest well."

You and Zhongli wave goodbye as you look at the houses in the village. You talk to one of the locals who points you to the rental house, to which you quickly walk over and enter the house. You didn't notice how worn out you were until you collapse on the bed and pass out almost immediately. 

The Next Day

You slowly open your eyes, yawning as you stretch and sit up. You rubbed your eyes before looking around, and remembering what happened yesterday. Oh, that's right. Zhongli mentioned he'd give me a tour of the harbor this morning. You thought. You sit there in silence before noticing what you just said and quickly leap out of bed. Crap, I totally overslept! You quickly get ready then rushed to the door and almost busted it down, before running over to the local that pointed out the house and paying them mora for the stay. You then start booking it for the harbor, hoping Zhongli hadn't been waiting too long. Where did he say to meet up again? The bridge? Or..ahh....uhm, the docking station! You soon make it to the harbor before immediately running to the port, completely out of breath when you get there. You bend down and put your hands on your knees as you're panting, before hearing a voice from behind you.

Zhongli | "You look winded. Have trouble along your way?"

(Y/N) | You turn around to look and see who it was, noticing Zhongli. "Ah, not really. Just ran here. Out of curiosity, how long have you been waiting for me?" You ask.

Zhongli | "Ah, I just got here a minute or two ago."

(Y/N) | So I didn't even need to run! You let out a small sigh as you stand up and stretch a little before looking at Zhongli. "Where's the first place we're off to?"

Zhongli | "Hah. Glad you asked, this way." 

Zhongli leads you around Liyue, taking you to places and showing you around. Occasionally, he would tell stories about Rex Lapis or ancient Liyue if you asked about it. He sure was knowledgeable, no doubt. As he gave the tour, you couldn't help but admire the view. Not only was the land of Liyue beautiful, but the harbor was too. It made you curious, starting to think about what the other nations were like. Minus Snezhnaya, you've heard in Mondstadt about how cold it was there and how vicious their archon is, which made you less excited to visit. Not to mention..that is the Fatui's homeland. Yeah...maybe I'll just skip Snezhnaya-
