So it's a Saturday morning and I'm still laying in bed, dreading my thoughts of last night.

Trying to erase those thoughts, I decide to text Skylar.

We doing something today?
-Lola
I hit send and wait for her response, not even a minute later.
Nope... gotta spend the weekend with my dad... Sowwie

I sigh and toss my phone on the nightstand, cursing my luck. I decided to shower and put on some clothes and get ready to face the day. After I finished getting dressed, I skipped down the stairs and noticed something I haven't had in a long time.

Complete and utter silence.

Seeing that the house was mine for a while, I decided to blast my music and hop around the kitchen to make breakfast.

Eggs, bacon, pancakes, and sausage were on the list for today.

I freeze as I hear the doorbell ring and could tell by the burning how wide my eyes were. Oh no.... God don't let me be kidnapped today... I prayed silently as I stand slowly from my chair and drop my bacon down on my plate.

I tiptoed like a ninja to the front door just as another Rinnngggg goes off and I jump. I peek through the peep hole and could feel the grin spread across my face as I swing the door open and jump into the arms of my best friend.

"Jason!" I shout just as he catches me. "Ohemgee girl. You honestly need to stop eating." he says, his arms wrapping around my waist as my legs lift into the air. He carries me to the living room after closing the door and sets me down on the ground.

I grin up at him as he grins down at me. "Lola, you're scaring me." he mutters, his grin only widening. "I. Smell. Bacon." he says suddenly holding up a finger. I point to the kitchen chair I was sitting at and follow as Jason takes long strides towards my plate.

"Please tell me you made waffles, Lol." Jason whines as he stuffs a piece of bacon in his mouth. "Well," I say, making my way towards the pantry.

"no, but anything for you, Jay." I say, holding up the box of secret ingredients.

"You make like the best waffles ever." Jay says, taking a seat at on of the counter stools. "Where's mom and dad?" he asks after a while.

"I don't really know... They were gone before I woke up.

The question is, why are you here?" I ask, one of my eyebrows raising.

"Want me to go?" he asks, crossing his arms. "No no of course not." I say, plopping three waffles on a plate and pouring syrup on them.

"How's Carter?" I ask after he doesn't respond. Carter is Jay's nephew of 5 years. He's the cutest little thing and all of the little girls at his school agree with me. Ask them.

"More interested in a 5 year old than me?" Jay asks, one of his manicured hands pressed to his chest as if offended. "Yeah." I answer bluntly and he scoffs. "Only joking, Jay.." I giggle.

"Carter's fine." he replied, rolling his eyes and digging into his waffles. I grin and slap his small bicep, earning a glare from him. "What?" he asks, licking his lips.

"Don't act like that."

He chuckles as I walk back to my plate and dig in.

Jay and I decided to head for the mall to get some things for him to head out tonight. A club downtown called Grind and Wine.

We go in every tight clothing store in the large mall and he finally gives in after my tenth time asking for ice cream.
