YOU ENTERED KEQING'S OFFICE,
Keqing was staring out the window, wearing a black sweater vest with a white collared shirt. You were shocked to see the amount of tissues in the trash. "I got some breakfast for you." you said. "Thank you, please set it on my desk." she replied. You set your food on your table and sat facing the paperwork in need of approval. Keqing turned to her desk and you could not believe your eyes. Her face was pale, there were dark heavy bags underneath her eyes and her nose was as red as a tomato. "Are you alright?" you asked. She nodded looking a little nauseous. "It's probably just my sleep." she responded. You raised your eyebrow and continued your paperwork. She looked like she was forced to push on. She paused one too many times doing her paperwork. You stared at her in concern. You sensed that she clearly was unwell and texted Jean's number which you found on the pamphlet. She responded to you quickly and said she was on her way. "You're overworking yourself." Jean opened the door with Ganyu behind her. "What are you talking about?" she asked. Ganyu grabbed Keqing's coat and forced here to put it on. "Please do not play dumb with me, you've been pulling all nighters again. Let's go to the nurses office." Jean scolded her. Keqing glared at Jean shrugging Ganyu off. "Keqing!" Ganyu caught her just in time before Keqing landed on the floor from exhaustion.

You and Jean carried Keqing to the couch as Ganyu called the school nurse. A blonde haired girl walked through the door. The blonde waved at Jean all lovingly. She checked on the poor girl and said she just needed some rest. "Who was that, Jean?" you asked. "Just a friend." she answered. "I don't know, I see some resemblance.." you denied. "She's Barbara. She's working her way to take premed, she also happens to be my sister okay, enough?" she snapped. "R-right, sorry." you whispered. Ganyu watched over Keqing ushering you and Jean to get to your classes. "Hey, thanks for the breakfast." Keqing smiled at you softly. Jean's phone chimed of a notification. Keqing was startled opening her eyes widely. "Sorry, sorry. Carry on." Jean muttered. "Oh, emergency assembly at the auditorium. I'll go announce it, you three better head on there." she added. Ganyu helped Keqing up as they walked to the auditorium.

You grabbed your bag and swiftly ran to your locker. "Well, well, well, look what the cat dragged in." A tall blue haired guy was standing behind you. "Y/N, right? I've heard a lot about you from that darling Jean." a wavy, light honey-brown hair girl added on. "Enough, you two." a crimson eyed male came up to you. "Just messing around, my dear brother." the blue haired chuckled as they both walked away. "I apologise on behalf of them." the crimson eyed said. "I'm Diluc, the one with blue hair is Kaeya, my brother while the other is Lisa, his best friend. They like to.. mess with people." he stated. "Don't fret, they wouldn't get in fights. Just harmless teasing is all." he added. "Anyway, I'm on library duty. I have to go." he waved goodbye to you. "Wait! No, we have to get to the auditorium. Just trust me." you responded. He shrugged and followed you. "All students to the auditorium please, everyone to the auditorium." a voice popped up from the school speaker. "Are you a psychic?" he asked. "Yes, I predict the future because I work on the student council~" you chuckled. "So soon, aren't you new? Or is it just me who hasn't seen you around." Diluc said. "No no, I'm new. Albedo just offered me a spot on the council so I took it. I'm Keqing's assistant." you smiled. "Keqing? But it's so hard, why would you?" he asked. "Oh, just to test my skills is all." you answered. "So how is it? Working with Keqing?" he wondered. "I haven't really fully started, Keqing caught a cold today so I can't really do anything as of now. Anyhow, let's go. We'll be late." Diluc nodded and ran with you.

You sat next to Keqing and Ganyu. Keqing still looked like she just came out of Antartica leaning on Ganyu's shoulder. A tall man wearing a coat walked on the stage. "Welcome students, I have called you today to discuss two topics. One, the discipline of this school. Two, the early year banquet. But first, I'd like to call the newest student onto the stage, Y/N." he called. You widened your eyes and slowly made your way up. "Y/N's our new student, [preferred pronoun] is a brilliant new student who has a perfect score of 4.0 GPA. I am Mr Zhongli, your discipline teacher. Thank you, back to your seat." he stated. "A 4.0 GPA? I might actually have found a permanent assistant." Keqing said and coughed into her fist. You smiled and rubbed Keqing's back. "Now as you know, recently a fight broke out amongst students. Teyvat Academy is a prestigious school filled with bright young students. If you cannot mind your manners, then I suggest you all to keep yourselves in line or it is most certainly bye-bye to you." Mr Zhongli said firmly. Xiao and Scaramouche sat at the back and looked down. "Alright, now as for the school banquet. We have decided to move it to this Saturday instead of next. The preparation is finally done and the student council has been very helpful organising everything." he added. "Jean, Keqing, Ayaka. Would you please step up on the stage and elaborate on the preparations." Keqing's eyes widened forgetting to grab her script at the office. "I have to go get my script." she said. "No, you're staying on this seat." Ganyu scolded. "I can't. I have to go get it." she responded. Ganyu pulled out a paper from her bag and passed the script to you. "You're replacing Keqing. Go on now." Ganyu professed. You nodded and Ganyu pulled Keqing back down to her seat. "What're you doing here?" Mr Zhongli asked. You explained the matter as he understood the situation. You spoke stuttering a little but composed yourself. The speech quickly passed and the assembly was dismissed.

Classes were finally done for the day. You met Diluc waiting for you at your locker. "Hey, what do you ride home?" he asked. "Bus." you answered placing your books into your locker. "Wanna ride home?" he offered. "Sure, let me go call Keqing and Ganyu for a second." you said. "If it's okay with you to bring them I mean." you added. "Sure." he responded. You smiled and ran to Keqing's office. "Hey, Diluc offered a ride home. Let's go." you remarked grabbing their stuff. "What about Xiao?" Ganyu asked. "What about him?" you replied helping Keqing up. "My brother." Ganyu said. "Oh yeah, he can drive Keqing's car maybe. Just tell him to meet us at the parking lot." you responded. Ganyu nodded and texted Xiao.

At the parking lot, Xiao walked up to the four of you. "Drive Keqing's car? No." Xiao mentioned. "Please, just this once." you begged him. "Fine." he finally gave in. Xiao got in Keqing's car and followed Diluc's car. Keqing rested in the backseat with Ganyu dozing off. You finally reached her house. "Are you staying with your parents Keqing?" Ganyu asked. "No, they're off on a business trip." Keqing mumbled. "I'm gonna accompany her. You guys can go home though." Ganyu said to you. "I'm staying." you speaked. "Me too." Diluc added. Xiao knocked on the window. "Are we going in or not?" he said grumpily. You nodded and got off the car. Ganyu escorted Keqing to her room and placed a wet cloth above her head. You, Diluc and Xiao sat in silence in the living room. "Should we cook?" you broke the silence. "Sure." Xiao and Diluc said in unison. "Okay then, I'll go check the kitchen." you got up. "I think we can make chicken noodle soup for Keqing and pasta for us." you said. "Sure, I'll make the chicken soup." Diluc concord. "I'll make the pasta." Xiao agreed. "Great, I'll make some brownies for dessert." you said and you all went to work.

Meanwhile in Keqing's room, Ganyu sat reading a book. She stared at Keqing's pale skin and red nose. Sweating under her duvet. Ganyu chuckled at the sight of her. She was always working hard getting things done. Now here she was, sleeping peacefully after multiple sleepless nights. She went to her medicine cabinet and took out some fever and headache pills. "Thank you, I'm eternally grateful to you. Please, go out with me." Keqing mumbled softly. Ganyu was stunned, she just heard someone asked her out. "Lunch is ready!" Diluc called out. Keqing slowly got up from the bed and walked into the living room followed by Ganyu. They sat next to each other in silence. "Well, eat. I don't have all day."  Xiao said aloud. You all ate in silence as everyone's phones chimed in unison. "Oh." you pulled out your phone. "You have been added to Venti's awesome" popped up on your screen. "Well, I suppose you're now officially part of the group. Welcome." Keqing said hoarsely. "Drink up." Ganyu served her a glass of water. "So, the banquets coming up soon, how's the progress?" Diluc asked. "Fine. Venue's done, we have school band and orchestra prrforming. Food is done and the fliers are posted. RSVP's are also done." Ganyu answered. Everyone finished up as Diluc does the dishes.

"If you guys wanna stay, I can pull out the mattresses. It's nice to have company." Keqing stated. "I'm gonna go." Xiao said grabbing his bag and jacket. "Me too, I have a date." Diluc added. "I gotta go home, my parents will be worried sick." you responded. "I can stay, my dad doesn't mind anyway." Ganyu grinned. Keqing nodded and waved all of you goodbye. That night, Ganyu gave Keqing her medicines and took a shower. The rain poured heavily so Ganyu turned on the heater and added more blankets to the bed. Keqing fell asleep quickly as Ganyu got out of the shower. Ganyu laid down on Keqing's bed making her comfortable, quickly falling asleep. Meanwhile, you were almost ready to sleep as your phone notifications went off like crazy.
