Chapter 7: A Little Favour

"ALWAYS LOCK THE DOOR HON."
your mom uttered. "Yes, okay mom. I'm 15 I'm really not a baby." you answered. "I'm only going for a week so if anything happens call me and I'll be home ASAP. Love you kid!" she smiled. "Love you too!" you responded. "Bye kiddo." your dad hugged you as you kissed your parents goodbye. "Home alone at last." you opened the TV and kicked your feet up the table. Suddenly, the doorbell rang. You opened the door to see an unexpected person at the door. "Hello." Albedo appeared holding a box of bagels and some medicines at the front of your door. "Hi." you nervously muttered. "What are you doing here? I'm home alone if you wanted to see my parents." you added. "No, I came to see you. I was afraid you'd get migraines from yesterday." he answered. "Oh, I have a little headache but nothing like a migraine. Please come in." you ushered him. "I can go if you're uncomfortable." he added. You shook your head as he walked in. "You can put the breakfast on the island and I'll get us some drinks. What do you want?" you asked. "No worries, I have some coffee here. I'm fuelled." he assured. You smiled as you ate your breakfast. "Here, have some tea." he pulled out a flask. "What for?" you were puzzled. "When I first joined the council it was exhausting, like working full time balancing everything at once. I found myself often drinking this tea to help control my migraines." you nodded as you drank the tea slowly. "I'm gonna use the bathroom. Where is it?" he asked. "Last door down the hall." you said.

"Your room is a mess. Need some help?" he offered returning from the bathroom. "Yeah actually, I do." you agreed. He nodded and rolled up his sleeves. He started moving some boxes around and set up furniture. He continued with dusting shelves and placing all your books. By noon, he was almost done as you cooked lunch. "I have to go after this, you okay staying alone?" he asked. "Yep. Here have some lunch." you answered. After he ate, you went to clean and entered your room. "Oh my."you gasped. Your desk was up and so were your shelves. It just leaves you to put some flavour to it. You added some flowers and pictures. It finally felt like a room rather than a storage box.

The next morning, you got up and quickly went to shower. "I'm late, oh shit." you muttered. You grabbed a banana and ran for the bus. You reached the front of Keqings office right by 8.00 am. "Hm, punctual." Keqing stated. "Our next meeting is at 4.00 pm tomorrow. Mark it in." she said. "Uh-huh." you responded. You checked your phone to see a paragraph of messages from Venti.

You rushed to your locker to see Venti panicking. "You look like you're having a meltdown, calm down." you said. "Me and Xiao just broke up." he exclaimed. "I'm sorry but what can I do?" you asked. "YOU? YOU? you sweet angel sent up from Celestia can help me get Xiao back!!!" he shouted. "Okay okay. How can I help?" you sighed. "A little favour. DATE ME!" he uttered."What?? No." you fought. "COME ON. PLEASE. He'll get jealous and he'll want me back." you gave him a look. "THIS WON'T HELP. WHY ME?" you said. "BECAUSE. You're the new girl, he won't care if I date Donna!!!" he argued. "Please. I'm practically on my knees." he added. "Fine. Just for a week then we break up." you gave in. "THANK YOU I COULD KISS YOU. WAIT, YES I CAN." he kissed you. "okok stop." you pushed him away. "No, darling." he coyly muttered. He held your hand as you both head to the office. "Bye~!" he twirled you around. You continue with work and classes till the end of the day. "Hello!" Venti greeted you by your locker. "So usually Xiao will be at band practice around now so follow me there!" you nodded. You followed Venti with your books in hand. He lead you to the practice room as you sat by the corner reading your book. Venti stared at you waiting for the practice to start. You gave him a look signalling him to come to you.  He walked up to you and sat. "You're boring." he said. "You wanna date me? You have to tolerate with my studying habits." you smiled. You both immediately clicked and joked around till Xiao entered the room. He stared at the both of you and continued to amp his guitar. "Are we gonna start?" Xiao shrugged. "We have to wait for Aether." Kazuha responded. Xiao sighed and pulled out his phone. You could sense that Xiao was already mad which was good for you. You could soon start crushing again on Albedo. Venti gave you a smug look and turned to your book.

The tension passed and practice was over. "I'll send you home. What do you have tomorrow?" he asked. "Nothing much, classes and I wanna study. Then I have a 4pm student council meeting." you responded. "NOTHING MUCH?" he glared. You smirked and walked faster. "Waittt!!" he chased you. Venti drove you home and followed you in. "Where are your folks?" he asked. "Out of town for about a week." you answered. "Ah, okay. Soooo movies tonight?" Venti smirked. "I don't know, I need to study, do homework and stuff." you said. "Oh shut up there are no homework's today all your classes were with me." he argued. "Studying can wait righttttttttttt???" he coyly added. "Fine, one movie." you sighed. "Good, this can help with our chemistry!" Venti smiled. "I'll be here at 7 this evening dove!" he winked. You couldn't help but roll your eyes at his mischievous look. Later in the evening, you were ready in a nice outfit waiting for Venti. Ding! Your doorbell rang, you opened the door and there he was. A blonde figure by your door. "Hello, just came to check up on you." he greeted you. "Hi, I'm just about to go out actually." you responded. "Ah, sorry. I didn't mean to intrude." he shrugged. "It's fine." you laughed it off. A car drove up and Venti got off. "Heya dove!" Venti smiled. "Oh, I see." Albedo said.
