Only Wanda is sitting in the kitchen when you and Thor make it through, both of you still feeling the emotional effects of the previous day. "Where is everyone?" You ask, making Thor sit while you start to make him breakfast; the fact that he hadn't eaten anything the night before still bothering you.

"Steve's training, the science bros are in the lab, and your brother and friends are still outside trying to fix their ship," Wanda explains, getting up to help you cook. "We thought we would let you both have a quiet morning." She adds sympathetically while handing Thor some coffee, gently squeezing his shoulder. He nods in response, barely taking a sip. "He'll get there Kate." You hear her in your mind as she sees the concerned look on your face. "Give him time."

After finally managing to eat, you convince Thor to go work out with Steve; hoping that the physical activity would help release some of the pain he was still in. Wanda offers to clean up while you head out to the still partly destroyed Milano. You can hear Rocket complaining as soon as you hit the lawn, before being ambushed by Groot crawling into your arms. "Hey buddy," You smile as he nestles into you. "I missed you."

"I am Groot," is all the reply you get and need.

"You're awake," Quill comes to meet you, accepting the coffee you had taken out to him. "You feeling any better?" You simply shrug before looking over at the ship.

"Still a lot of work to be done?"

"Yeah, but she'll survive." His voice has an air of nervousness around it, but you put it down to him being worried about Gamora. "Tony's been a massive help with fixing it so that's a bonus."

"He is a handy mechanic," You can't help but laugh, before you hear Rocket yelling once again. "What's up with the trash panda?" Quill can't help but chuckle.

"Nothing important." There's a tinge of hesitation on Peter's face, making you worry. "Did you have a chance to talk to Tony this morning?" He asks, a slight hint of anger in his tone.

"Not yet, why?" Instantly Peter grabs your hand and pulls you around the Milano; his grip tight. Before you can even open your mouth to question him, you're rendered speechless by the bright white, egg shaped ship now also parked in the compound yard. "What the..."

"I need to introduce you to someone." Quill whispers in your ear. "Someone important."

"Hold up there Quill." Rocket's voice comes out of nowhere. "You promised Stark..."

"Stark isn't her brother, I am." Peter yells; the anger rising in him makes him grip your wrist tighter.

"Peter, let me go." You ask, a slight nervousness surrounding you as you'd never seen him like this. "I don't know what's going on here, but I think..."

"What?" Despite seeing the grip he has on you and letting go, Quill is still angry. "So you can go running to Tony, asking for his help? Needing his opinion. I am your brother." He spits out. "I know what's best for you. For us, now I need you to remember that."

"First of all," You keep your voice calm, despite the rage building up inside you. "Yell at me like that again and I'll knock you the fuck out." You hear the stifled laughs of Rocket and Groot. "Secondly, you don't get to decide what's best for me after you've been missing for most of my life. I've known Tony longer than I've known you." You turn to Rocket. "And you, Stark doesn't get to say what I do and don't get to know. So one of you tell me what the fuck is going on."

"How about I tell you?" A random voice appears behind you. "Tell you the truth of who you are and what you can do."

"And who the fuck are you?" You sigh, taking your anger out on this stranger who's just appeared in front of you.
