As Thor rushes out the door with you in his arms, Tony desperately tries to pull Quill away. "Your sister needs you man, let's go." Filled with rage over your fathers words, Quill stands strong, staring at the body laying on the ground.

"I don't think it's that easy Tony, we have to destroy his brain." He takes a few small steps towards Ego's body, staring at him with cold, attuned eyes as he thinks about your mother. The pain still fresh from also losing Gamora. Turning back to Tony, tears in his eyes. "I never thanked you, did I? For taking care of her all these years?"

"Quill, don't do something stupid alright. Come with me."

"No," He unloads a few more rounds into Ego's body. "I gotta stay and make this right. I have to end him once and for all, otherwise he'll still come for us. Me, Katie..." He pauses, looking towards the door. "The baby." He swallows hard. "Just keep doing what you've been doing Stark, take care of my sister for me." With that, he puts on his helmet. "Maybe just make sure the baby knows what a rock star their Uncle was huh?" Tony can't help but smirk as Quill flies off.

As he catches up with Thor, the Bifrost has already opened. Standing at the centre of it is a single figure. It's only when they get closer that they can make out who it it, if their eyes would even let them believe it. Marching out of the light, is Ego, shrouded in a cloud of light as his wounds heal; bone, muscular tissue, skin all forming around the wounds as though he was made of plasticine. "You people have meddled enough in my plan!" He roars as the ground beneath them starts to shake. With a click of his finger the Bifrost starts to collapse and fail.

Thor gently places you on the ground. "Get her to the Bifrost Stark, quickly." He growls, lightning starting to emit from his fingertips as he reaches out for Mjolnir, raising it to the sky, but nothing happens.

"You stupid fool," Ego spits out. "You think you can control the lightning? Here? I control everything. You have no power here." While his eyes are focused on Thor, Tony tries to slip past, you under one arm. "But maybe..." Ego extends a hand out, making a stream of white light raise up from the ground, wrapping itself around Thor's arms and legs. "Maybe the power that does run through you would be enough." One of the streams bursts from the ground and stabs Thor deep into his chest, making him roar out in agony.

As Tony watches on in horror, you come to, finding yourself suddenly filled with strength. So fixed on the sight of Ego attacking Thor, Tony doesn't notice you stirring beside him until you pull away from him. "What's going on?" You ask, before seeing the scene before you. "NO!" You yell, rushing forward before Tony can grab your arm. Furious you manage to tackle Ego to the ground, stopping the attack on Thor.

Before you can make it over to him, Ego grabs your arm. "How is this possible?" He asks, but you punch him; the force of the punch sending him flying backwards. As you look down at your fist, confused about your newfound super strength, Ego flies back to you; grabbing your shoulders and pulling you off the ground. "It's working!" He smiles, the grin spread wide over his face.

All of a sudden you feel another pulse of power radiate through your body, and in your mind you can see what Ego is doing; manipulating the energy stored at the centre of the planet. Twisting and turning particles into whatever is necessary to harness the power from within; releasing that energy throughout space at all the points and places he had planted a part of himself.

You visualise Peter, down in the rocks of the earth below, aimlessly shooting at the planets centre. "No," Ego yells, furious. "This can't be...you're...you're something different." As he looks at you, your eyes shine bright, the same light that had been draining Thor of his energy and power. Tony and Thor can only watch the two of you flying in the air as swirls of earth and stone circulate you both; the only other thing they can make out is the tendrils of lightning now escaping your fingertips.
