The boy next Door

3rd Person POV
Andrew have been friends for as long as you can remember. You two first met when he moved into the house next to you one summer day. You being you can still remember the date. 17.07.20.
He was quite tall have brown hair that stuck up all over the place but still seem to look good. Gorgeous brown doey eyes and a smile that could light up a room. He was funny, a real gentleman and absolutely gorgeous in many ways, but I didn't tell him that but for obvious reasons.

Since that day you two have been inseparable. You were the first person to introduce him to the neighbourhood and to show him around the small town you called home. You had the whole summer to get to know him and soon you become best of friends. You hung out every day, you would do everything together, from watching movies all day to exploring the town. Not a moment went by without laughter when it came to you two. Over the summer you had found a small hillside just outside the town that you both claimed as yours. You would go there most days to get away and talk about everything and anything. It was our safe place. All through the summer you would also tell your best friend about Andrew, and slowly over time you had developed a crush on the boy next door.

To be honest you didn't have many friends at school, only bfn. You were bullied a lot by loads of the girls at school and pushed around in the halls and called names.

Y/n POV
After summer Andrew starting attending my school and he was getting a lot of attention from both the girls and boys the first couple of weeks. On the first day we walked in with him and could of sworn the walk down the corridor went in slow motion, every girl was looking at Andrew and giggling, smiling and waving like a celebrity had just turned up. The boys weren't much better, they were all staring too talking among themselves and pointing at the both of us. "Don't worry about them I got you" Andrew whispered in my ear sending shivers down my back, he then proceeded to put an arm around my neck causally. Smiling sheepishly we carry on walking down the halls. Looking around I could see I was getting lots of death stares from the girls, they were eying me up like meat ready to pounce at me at any given time to get closer to Andrew. I held on to Andrew a bit tighter and got to my locker.
"Y/n!" Bfn shouted down the hall. My eyes lit up, I haven't seen bfn like all summer, she lives in the next town over and didn't have anyway of getting around unless her mum drove her. Instantly letting go of Andrew I run towards her and engulf her in a hug.
"I've missed you." I said smiling so much it hurt.
"Same here" they replied still hugging me.
"We have so much to catch up on, so much happened over summer you won't be-" Bfn kept rambling on. Andrew finally made his way over and lent on the lockers next to us
"This must be Andrew, the guy you have been telling me about" Bfn nudged me smirking.
"So you have been telling everyone about me huh?" Andrew chuckled
"Nice to meet you Andrew" Bfn said politely
"You too!" Andrew replied.
"Only bfn I swear" I said back.

Pulling bfn aside for a second they whispered to me. "So this is the Andrew you are going on about and crushing over?"
"Yes! Now not so loud he will hear us" I whisper back making sure he can't hear us. Every since Andrew moved in I couldn't stop thinking about him. It was arguably the best summer of my life.
"Are you two done having your secret girl chat I don't wanna be late on the first day thanks" Andrew said leaning his head on my shoulder and smiling. Turning round to face him I smile back and get what I need out my locker. Andrew then put his arm around me again and started making his way to class with us.

Andrew POV
The day is going so well so far. I get to spend more time with y/n and her friend bfn I think and get to know the school better. I don't think y/n knows it but I heard what she was saying to bfn and it made me smile. Ever since moving in to this town y/n had made it more comfortable and welcoming. It's hard coming to a new place not knowing anyone and where anything is. I might investigate this little crush later.....

Y/n POV
After that it all died down, Andrew made some other friends and introduced me to them and we made a little friendship group which was great. This was the first time I had made other other friends and I loved it.

Picking up my books from my locker we all make our way to class like we do every morning. I sat in the middle and Andrew was too my left and bfn to my right. Since starting Andrew has crept up the class and is now top of our year. He is doing so well and I'm so proud of him and everything he is doing. Soon lunch rolls around and I'm heading to my locker to pack my books away. I told the others I would catch up but without my knowledge Andrew was following me.

Andrew's POV
It's been a couple of weeks since I heard the 'secret' between y/n and bfs so I thought I'd test it. During the summer I have been really close to y/n and starting to feel the same way about her. She is amazing in every way, she is kind, caring and beautiful. When y/n said she'd meet us in the cafeteria. I secretly followed her to her locker. As I was walking down the corridor I saw her at my locker and started my plan.
"A little birdie told me someone has a crush on me" I sang walking down towards y/n making her jump.
"I-I don't know where you heard that" y/n replied silently cursing herself for stuttering. Making my way to the locker I closed it behind her.
"If I'm not mistaken on my first day I recall a little conversation about yours truly to a certain bfn." I said raising my eyebrows and smirking whilst leaning on the locker next to y/n.
"I don't know where you heard that. Think you need your ears tested. Garfield" y/n laughed awkwardly
"And I think you need your memory revamped because if I remember I was standing right here listening to your little conversation" I replied getting closer to y/n. "And I don't lie, so tell me the truth" I said in a whisper slowly moving to trap y/n against the locker.
"Fine, you got me Garfield, I do like you, but that doesn't mean you can rub it in ok" y/n replied sheepishly looking everywhere except my face.
"Glad you could admit it" I replied and slowly lent in and kissed her on the lips while she was still up against the locker. After a couple of seconds I pulled away and saw y/n face as red as a tomato.
"You just kissed me" y/n said lifting her fingers to her lips and touching them.
"I could do it again if you want" I said smirking and leaned in again to peck her lips without an answer. Pulling away she smiled and stood on her tiptoes and kissed me once more, she put her arms around my back and mine fell to her waist. When she finally moved away she asked.
"What does this mean for us now Garfield.
Going to make it official" she giggled as she began to walk towards the canteen me running to catch up. Before opening the door I quickly kiss her and whisper "does that give you an answer" to her reply being "yes I will be your girlfriend, hurry up I want food. I'm hungry" she laughed pushing the doors open to the hall full of chatting and laughing people. As I walked through the doors I grabbed her hand and interlocked our fingers and made our way towards bfn. Looking over at y/n her face was still bright red as she tried to hide it, failing miserably. As we sat down I could see on bfn face they were shocked.
"What did I miss?" Bfn said shocked
"Long story" we both said in unison and laughed.
