Before Beau and I do our shopping, we have to take Fern to me and Bella's house.

I open the door and Beau follows in behind me. We hear voices in the kitchen, so we head in there.

"Hey guys, what's up?" I ask them.

"We just got back from a run." Daniel said.

"Oh my god, she is so cute! Beau, you did a nice job! I'm so happy for you two! Now we can double date and all of that fun stuff!" Bella says. She always gets so excited over the little things. One of the reasons she is my best friend is because she is always happy. I remember our senior year she was kind of depressed because of her parents, but I'm glad to have my best friend left. She means the world to me.

"Her name is Fern." Beau says. Daniel tries to hide his laughs.

"I love that name!" Bella screams. She runs up to Fern and starts to pet her. Fern licks her face, but Bella doesn't seem to mind. For as long as I've know her, she's always been a cat person, but she has a dog back in Pennsylvania that she clearly misses.

"Beau and I have to get going. Can you guys take care of Fern? We have to get things for her and pick up a few groceries." I say as Beau picks up a waffle off of Daniel's plate and puts it in his mouth.

"Yeah! We can take her for a walk!" Bella exclaims.

"Thirteen miles was enough for me, I'm done exercising for today" Daniel says.

"You ran my favorite course without me!" I say sarcastically.

"Excuse me for enjoying hills." Bella says while rolling her eyes.

"Bella, that's not normal." Beau says. He puts his hand on her shoulder and makes eye contact with her trying to be funny. We all start laughing uncontrollably.

"Okay, we better get going then. Thanks guys!" I say as beau and I walk out the door.

"So I was thinking," Bella starts off. Is she breaking up with me? "Maybe k should transfer to college here, that's what Lauren did. Stanford has a campus here, and I can go back to the main one at anytime." She says. Relief washes over me as she says that. It's funny how in a matter of seconds, our whole lives can be changed. You could get a call saying that your parents just died, or that you're going to be a parent.

"That would be amazing." I say, taking her off of the island stool and spinning her around.

"We should tell the fans." I suggest. Her eyes go big, and I know I shouldn't have brought it up.

"What if they hate me?" She says seriously.

"Bel, that's not possible. Everybody loves you." I say trying to make her feel better.

"Not everybody." She says with her eyes threatening to spill tears.

"Who is stupid enough to not like you?" I ask her. I don't understand why somebody could not like her. She's perfect. She's one of those girls who yo know is smarter than you, but is never mean about it. She never has to try for anything, she automatically understands.

"My mom." She says quietly. Her mum? How could she not like her?

"She has always been putting me down since I can remember. I am forced to run, I am forced to play soccer, I am forced to play softball, I am forced to do track. In Pennsylvania, it's almost like I don't have my own voice. I haven't talked to my parents since the day I left." She says through her cries. I feel so bad for her. When you look at her, she seems so happy. But I guess people have always dead before that smile hide the pain. That it's easier to say "I'm fine" then to explain what's really wrong in the world.

"But I love to see you do those hurdles." I say with a smirk on my face. She laughs and wipes the tears off of her eyes. My shoulder is a little damp from her tears, but I don't mind.

"Hey, how about we shower then go do something today?" I say.

She nods her head yes, then I hear "Let's tell them."
