Day 6 - Work

Someone was calling him.

He quickly answered the phone upon seeing it was none other than Kurapika.

"Hello?"

"Hey Leorio, can you do me a favor?"

Now, for the second time in his life Leorio was staring at Kurapika in a wig.

Killua was bent over in laughter. While the former was scowling down at him.

Gon was holding back a laugh too.

Still trying to compose himself he spit out, "You know, I can't believe I've seen you dress as a girl twice."

Kurapika rolled his eyes as he slipped his shoes on. "I'm not willingly, I have to for work."

Gon finally spoke still, "Why is Leorio going with though?"

"It's an event for couples I have to go to. The bosses daughter wants an item being sold. He is also still upset with me for staying with a friend instead of with my coworkers. Therefore I was assigned to go."

Killua pulled himself together, finally.

"I'm still confused? You two are a couple?" He said this with an innocent tone but you could see his lips slightly twitch into a smirk.

Killua lost it, again.

"No." Heat rose to his face but he brushed it off. "No couples were available to go. This was his way of taking his revenge on me." Kurapika made finger quotes when stating the word 'revenge'. "But it's only an item so it doesn't matter too much. I have already done research and nothing will happen tonight, despite peoples concerns. I wouldn't put Leorio in danger if that were the case."

Leorio softly smiled at him for a moment then paused and raised an eyebrow at him. "Or yourself, right?"

Kurapika paused. "Sure." He said promptly before walking over to the table to grab his jacket and bag. "Do you two need money for takeout or something? If you burn down Leorios kitchen I'll get blamed."

"Glad to know that's what you care about." Leorio pretended to be annoyed but you could see a slight smile on his lips.

"Yes, well, I do my part."

"No I think we should be good on food. Worse comes to worse we'll just shoplift."

Leorio reached down and ruffled a now annoyed Killuas hair. "Nice plan, it's always good to start young."

Kurapika bite back a laugh.

"When will you guys get back?"

"Hmm." Kurapika pondered for a moment. "Probably in an hour and a half."

"Okay, should we save you two dinner?"

He started to answer Gon but Leorio cut in. "We will be getting back around 7, if Kurapika is correct." Kurapika shot him a glare. "So we should just order food then for all of us. Eat if you are hungry though, don't feel like you have to wait."

"Okay!" After an endless supply of mundane conversation about food, robberies, robbing, and how to put out a kitchen fire Leorio and Kurapika finally left.

They made it to the event with no problems. Kurapika sighed and stopped Leorio right before the entered the building. "I just want to say if something does happen I truly am sorry for dragging you into this." Kurapika held a guilty expression on his face for a moment but he quickly changed it to his usual poker face.
