THE PACE AT WHICH PETER RETURNS is almost astounding to her. What's even more surprising is that when she turns around, the boy is already in his suit as if he'd changed mid air. He's crouched in what she supposes is his 'spider pose'.

"I was kind of hoping I was wrong," The girl says with a small smirk, her eyes trained on him only.

Peter doesn't reply, simply watches her and readies himself for when she makes a move. His senses, that have come about from the spider bite, will help him for the most part but he's never had to deal with somebody who possesses magic. The closest he's probably gotten is Max with his electric abilities, yet they don't really compare.

"It's a shame really, I know Gwen was fond of you. However, I can't exactly let what you did slide," Isabella speaks, lifting her hand up and allowing some of the dark magic to swirl in the palm of her hand.

"There's still time to stop," Peter replies warily.

"I'm already too far gone,"

Thrusting her hands forwards, she sends the masked hero backwards, slamming into the wall of the next building over. He goes straight through the side of it, the bricks giving way under the immense power of the throw. Moving her fingers lightly, she raises several of the fallen bricks and hurls them at him. He manages to dodge those by mere milliseconds, rolling out of the way.

Peter webs up her hands as quickly as he possibly can, eyes widening when they seemingly disintegrate under the influence of her magic. The darkness still swirls about in her eyes, a black shimmer coating the surface and erasing any sort of humanity that once lingered.

"Your webs are pointless, Spider. They're synthetic, fake," Isabella hisses, ripping several more bricks off the structure and pelting them at him too quickly for him stop.

"Like you?"

A dark chuckle leaves her lips, his words not effecting her in the slightest like he'd hoped they would. Instead they seem to fuel her agenda, his airways struggling under the pressure of her magic which she has just sent his way.

"I'm not fake, Peter, just improved. The Isabella of old would have let you walk away," The brunette considers.

"The Isabella of old is still there and I'm going to find her," Peter responds before he flies at her and knocks her off her feet, using one of the surrounding buildings to get around her. "Whatever you are, is not her,"

"But it is,"

Jumping to her feet, Isabella clenches her fist and watches him crumble to his knees in pain whilst clutching his head. "What chance does a weak mortal like you have?"

"You're mortal too. Everything about this side of you, is a bunch of chemicals. You're not a God. You never will be," Peter chokes out, stumbling and regaining his footing.
