But I told you please don't go
It didn't matter cause you did go
It's unprecedented to be this attached to someone
But were you even someone?
No, you were a part of me
You were my home and a safe place for me
From all the chaos in this world,
I'd still escape to your quiet place
But it was so bold to assume you're permanent
Isn't it?
You were too good to be temporary
You were too good to be something I'm used to
But something within me feels cold
Maybe you took all the warmth inside
And now I'm lost in pain
Waiting for your guide again
It feels so different here without you
I wonder if you can remember me
And if you did, I wonder what you're gonna do
Let's sit back here again
Let's imagine things to ease our pain
Let's look at the sky
Let's lift our spirits high
We can smell those random roses in your garden
We can make things easier
Because things are already too hard to harden
I look at you and still see us together
I still see how we danced in that rainy weather
I still recall how we read all those old books
And when you said you can't find someone better
And I told you please don't go
But it didn't matter cause you did go.
