Time skip to back at the office.
Betty is talking to Charles about what happened with her dad.
"God Charles, I am just thinking about what Y/N said to dad. Honestly, I'm starting to realise how young she was when everything happened. She was 10 when dad was arrested. How do you explain to a 10-year-old their dad killed 4 people? It's impossible. She was 10 Charles, TEN! Now she's 14 and has had so much drama and I get it, I have had it too. But I was older and I can understand it more than her. I feel like I'm the worst sister ever. I have failed God. I am so stupid, how could I not think about the knock on effect that would be on her" Betty says loudly. "No your not. You are, so so so so young yourself and you understand it which is worse because you know what was going to happen. Which might be why you have a hard time explaining it to her, because you don't have the mental capacity to do that. You have been amazing throughout the whole situation" Charles says being supportive.
It's been a week since Betty's meltdown and Veronica has decided to tutor Y/N, when she's not running Pops. But for this week, Betty wanted to tutor Y/N, so Veronica can focus on her businesses.
"Noooo, so what you do is divide 5 by 175 not 715" Betty said correcting her. "Stop laughing. It's not my fault, I'm dumb." Y/N said. "Alright, I will be serious. But question, why are you really good at all subjects but maths?" Betty asks. "Maths hurts my brain, it bamboozles it" Y/N replies. "Do I hear some maths drama going on in here, well if Betty is a bad teacher I can help you?" Charles interrupted. " I think Betty could do with some patience, so maybe you could teach her that" Y/N teased.
Betty looks offended.
"Well, I could help with that. Also how is the swim team going?" You still the top swimmer? Charles asks. "Yep, I might not be good at maths, but I make up for it in swimming" Y/N replies. "When's your next swim meet? We will come and watch. Also you are going back to school tomorrow" Betty said. "I think it's a week on Saturday or Friday" Y/N said answering Betty's question. "We will also be there. Also if your worried about returning to school, all your teachers already know about everything" Betty says.
