She tells Charles what she saw. They go to Y/N's room and stand in front of the door and they say something along the lines of
"We won't force you to talk. But when you are ready, we won't be here and ready to listen. Just, please you don't have to do this. Just take your time ".
Y/N in her room. When hearing Betty say all of that stuff it brings back memories of her childhood.
Flashback to when Y/N was 11.
"You're the problem Y/N. You're always the problem" Polly Said
Flashback to when Y/N was 13.
"You are my mother too!" Y/N shouted.
Flashback to when Y/N was 10. This is Hal before the black hood stuff.
"Do you remember that night the thunder shook the house? I was 5 and I thought the lightning was so bright, I thought the world was on fire" Y/N said. "Why bring this up?" Hal questioned. "I'm all under my covers crying and you come flying into the room and decided to make it a game. We were in Alaska looking for a gold and you said the lightning was the Northern Lights, the aurora boreas. You made that entire night an adventure. Until the storm passed and I woke up the next morning and it was a sunny day. Don't you remember that?" Y/N said. "No Y/N I don't" Hal said. "That's because it never happened. The storm happened. But you didn't" Y/N said.
If you know where that's from (the last flashback) I consider you a legend for knowing that.
It was Betty who made that night so magical. It's been a week and Y/N has not left her room. She hasn't even eaten anything because Y/N kept thinking about how Alice and Polly body shamed her when she lived with them. She never bothered to notice it because Y/N though they didn't mean it since they are family. Then seeing Hal her dad telling her what Betty and Charles have. Made her realise that her family, isn't what she thought it was.
"Charles, I'm getting so worried about her. She hasn't eaten or left her room for days. She could have done anything to herself and it's my fault, because I was the one that suggested we go to my dad for help. God I'm such a fool for ever believing him again" Betty says worried. "You didn't know what you were getting into, you were just trying to help and protect your little sister" Charles says reassuring her. "That's the point, I put her in this position weather it was on accident or purpose" Betty says blaming herself. "I'm going to try talk to her, you should do the same. Just take a bath and relax, while I try finding out about the dead fish and I will keep a close eye on her or just listen for her" Charles said.
It's been an hour, Betty has had her bath to relax and comes down and talks to Charles.
"She hasn't done anything or said anything, so everything is the same" Charles said. "I'm so worried about her. We have to do something" Betty replied. "Last time we tried to help her she ended up self harming herself and how is she now? Charles responds back. "We messed up for trusting that monster" Betty said.
