"My lord, you summoned me?" A voice, sounding authoritative yet obedient sounded out.
It was sunset on the hill where the master and servant stood. The forest could not be seen clearly in the dim and dusty light. A sense of foreboding hung around the atmosphere caused by the spooky looking trees and dim light.

"Indeed I summoned you." The new voice was calm but with a hint of power in it. "A place you must return to."

"My lord?" the servant spoke.

The lord was silent, as though contemplating something. Finally, he said "You shall be leaving me. You must return to the place where you first learnt if your true talents. It is.." he hesitated " in trouble"

"My lord, what could happen to that place? The gods are proud, true enough but surely they are powerful enough to save whatever needs saving. " The servants voice was cold, colder than normal.

The lord continued steadily" The answer in every problem requires a key. It just depends on what the key is. To this problem, you are the key."

The servant turned around and started pacing the small clearing atop of the hill cursing in an unknown language under her breath. The lord watched amusedly and said"I haven't seen you so upset before. Whatever happened to your always cold and authoritative manner?"

The servant turned around and glared at the master. A breach of protocol and unusual behaviour for a master and servant but this pair of master and servant weren't like any other and well, screw protocol.

The master chortled saying" You look like a huffed up hen who got annoyed because it started raining!" Then he went into a chuckling fit. "I'm glad you find me amusing, my lord." the servant commented dryly. "But really, my lord, am I needed?"

"Yes you are needed and that's non negotiable." He had finally regained his composure and was now staring at the last rays of the evening sun. "The sun is setting here and tomorrow there will be a sunrise that brings hope once again. You will be that sunrise to the Greek world. Besides I'm quite sure a few people will be so happy to see you again."

"But my lord, like you said the sun will rise again without our help here, so why should I be the sunrise?" The servant's voice sounded unsure.

"Ah but the sun chariot has to be driven remember? Helios used to do it everyday..."

"But the Romans-" she began. "Are counterparts to the Greek and therefore also in danger" The lord interrupted.

"But-"
"No buts!"
"My lord! The curse!"
"Just deal with it!" Exclaimed the lord.
"Now go!"
"Yes my lord." was the resigned answer.

The servant did a formal bow to her master and said the formal words "I take my leave my lord." As she walked out of the clearing, the soft voice of her master sounded out behind her. "Remember, Targeter, if you ever need help, I will try my best."

The girl, Targeter, didn't reply but continued walking straight into the dark, foreboding woods.
