Feeling whatever it was calling to her, Snowy navigated a hill that seemed deserted. Finally, she spied a sign that said Delphi's Strawberry Service. Just as she was about to walk closer, a low growl could be heard. She whirled around looking for it.

A warning bell triggered in her mind and she crouched down immediately, just missing the monster's claws as it leapt over her. A dog shaped monster that has bright red eyes looked at her.  No correct that. A whole pack of these creepy things encircled her. The only thing she could think of doing was run. She turned and ran up the hill screaming. To her relief and horror too, there was a boy sitting on the tree. He shot an arrow and it sank into the monster, dissolving it into gold dust.

He then leapt down from the tree and shouted "Run! Up the hill and we'll be safe!" She was frightened of hurting him too but she had no choice. The monsters were closing in. She ran after him but tripped over the roots of a large pine tree. He grabbed her hand and pulled me up, dragging her onwards. She was suddenly met with a crash like she had run into a wall and her hand was yanked out of the boys, who ran ahead easily. He paused and saw what had happened.

He yelled "Come on" with great vigor.

Snowy panicked, for she could feel like a wall in front of her, preventing her from entering.

"I can't get through." She shouted.

The boy looked very confused and worried. The monsters caught up and stood in front of her. Her back was pressed against the invisible barrier with nowhere to run. As the boy shouted for help, he ran back trying to get to her.

Before he could reach in time though, one of the monsters leapt, aiming for her head, only to be met with an ice spike buried in its chest. She stared in horror at her hand.

As the boy came nearer, she shrieked "Don't come nearer! I can't control it."

Spikes of ice grew from the ground impaling the monsters while fire blazed, burning other monsters that didn't hit the ice. Snowy was sobbing due to shock and fear. She didn't notice when the boy and others came over. She didn't notice when she fainted. She also didn't notice the puzzled expression when campers tried to carry her in but couldn't. What's more, she didn't notice the worried frown that plastered itself on a certain centaurs face. Chiron, demigod trainer and immortal centaur, looked at the campers who attempted to carry Snowy back to the camp but stopped by the barrier.

Making a difficult decision, he said "I, Chiron, allow you to come into camp."

With that, she was easily carried into the camp infirmary. Other demigods crowded around him and the boy that had been on the scene asking what was going on. He dismissed them all save for the boy. After having a brief discussion, it was determined that the boy would watch over her and try to find out what was happening and who she was.

When Snowy woke up, she found herself in an unknown place. When she sat up, she noticed something very different. She knew how many people were in this room. She couldn't pinpoint the location of these twelve people because of the curtains drawn around her bed, but she could feel them there. How was that possible?

Remembering what she had done to her parents and best friend, she got out of bed silently. The curtains shielded her movements from other people. As her bare feet silently touched the hard, cold, wooden floor, she felt a twinge in her mind. She was instantly alert, ready for anything but nothing came at her. The only thing she heard was the moan of someone in pain and the shuffling of someone's feet. Preparing for an attack, she yanked open the curtains around her bed. She found herself in an infirmary with beds, several of them filled with people sporting injuries. She heard footsteps behind her and whirled around only to find the boy from the monster attack.
