"ALL MIGHT! ALL MIGHT! ALL MIGHT!" the girl let out excited squeals as she watched the citizens chant the hero's name.
"Do not fear. Why, you ask? Because I am here!" the hero announced with a large smile.
F/n let out a satisfied sigh, continuing to watch the hero in action. She was rewatching an episode in a series called Boku No Hero Academia, also known as My Hero Academia.
"I knew it," she muttered, running an excited hand through her h/c locks.
Just as she started to click on the 'next episode' button, she heard her mother call for her.
"F/n! Dinner's ready!" the muffled voice through the door sounded.
"Coming!" she shouted, tilting her head slightly as she glanced at the door.
Sluggishly, she slid off of her bed and placed her laptop on the desk. With a short breath through her nose, she walked out of her room and to the kitchen.
"What's for dinner?" she asked.
Her mother glanced at her. "Your grandmother sent some soba," she replied, gesturing towards the three bowls that were set down on the dining table.
'Todoroki,' she thought, remembering how the fictional character's favourite food was cold soba. She took a seat next to her father while her mother sat on the other side.
"Itadakimasu!"
Taking her chopsticks, she took some of the soba noodles and slurped it into her mouth, tasting the earthy and nutty flavour on her tongue. Her father swallowed the food before turning to the girl who was slurping mindlessly.
"How's school?" he asked.
"Eh," she replied, shrugging her shoulders carelessly.
He let out a short laugh. "Have you decided what you want to be in the future?"
She shook her head. "No," she sighed, placing her chopsticks down, "I'm still searching and I have to do it quickly."
"You still have time," her mother reassured, "I'm sure you'll find out what you will be in the future."
"And," her father added, "You can always ask your mum and I. We will always be here to help you."
The girl deeply inhaled and exhaled before slowly nodding her head, a smile forming on each of her parents' lips. "Okay..."
