"CITIZENS," All Might's voice boomed and echoed through the large open space. Claps and cheers sounded amongst the crowd.
"Thank you all for coming here. Your presence is greatly appreciated," All Might continued, "This announcement isn't just about being a hero but also about how this girl managed to save everyone's lives."
The hero turned to look at F/n who was sitting in the audience with the rest of Class 1-A.
"L/n F/n," he said, "She had been a great help to everyone. Not only in Japan but also in the rest of the world."
"As you might know, All For One had nearly managed to gather everyone's quirks with his own. This was not something that we had expected and we sincerely apologise for that."
"But fear not for Young L/n was there!"
The audience cheered once more and F/n was glad that they didn't know what she looked like nor did All Might show them a picture of her. She would rather lie low for now.
"Young L/n has helped us through hard times where she has to fight alone without any of our help. But not only did she help us fight, she too helped us discover."
"Citizens," he said, "villains aren't who you think they are. Some might be vicious and merciless but this group of villains aren't. This proves the quote 'Never judge a book by its cover', only with the terms 'people' and 'title'."
The League of Villains stood there on stage while the audience stayed quiet, all listening intently to what All Might had to say with expressions that determine disbelief and doubt.
Toga nervously looked at F/n and the girl gave her a reassuring nod. That was all she needed to get herself together. The blonde had viewed her as a role model and nothing and no one could replace her for the title.
F/n gave Twice a small smile, seeing how he was a bit wary. She knew how he had been slightly insane with how he might not be the real Twice and that he might just be a clone.
But F/n helped him through his hard times. She had helped him realise the truth. He was the real Twice.
Spinner looked at her with astonishment when she managed to stay alive with only a mind-reading quirk. He too had taken her as a role model.
Magne was proud. She cared for her and loved her like her own sister. She too knew that she would be if not best, an amazing hero.
Dabi would now glance at her with more cordial eyes rather than his usual cold gazes. He might not show it, but he was also proud of her.
Mr Compress would always feel the need to protect the girl. After she saved him from nearly dying, he felt that he needed to be braver not only in front of her but also in reality. He had to return the favour tenfold.
Shigaraki was... well, not Shigaraki. Anymore, at least. He had decided to, from now on, use his birth name and proudly display it as his own. Shimura Tenko. A name that he had disregarded a long, long time ago.
But F/n made him realise who heroes are and what they actually are like. He realised that he should no longer hide in the shadows. He had to be strong and be a hero he had idolised ever since he was a child.
"Spinner. Magne. Twice. Mr Compress. Dabi. Toga Himiko. Shimura Tenko," All Might stated, "You have proven yourselves worthy. Strong and brave. Logical and intelligent. You are worthy of being who you want to be."
"You, too, can be a hero."
With teary eyes and clenched teeth, they bowed down, some already unable to contain their tears and screams. It meant more to them than everyone thought it would. It made some of the audience change their minds about villains already.
"I understand that this might be slightly confusing for all of you but you also need to understand how these villains save your lives. It might not be much, but despite all of the disasters they had caused, they have experienced a lot."
"They are humans too and they need to be appreciated in life."
Claps and cheers were heard from the audience. Despite some being doubtful, they knew they could change. It was finally the time to give them another chance.
"Young L/n," All Might said, silencing the crowd, "had been a great leader and hero to all of us. Today, at this very moment, I would like to pronounce L/n F/n as..."
With another wave of cheers from the audience, F/n grinned silently. With the title she was given, she was no longer afraid nor would she be doubting herself.
She was brave, hopeful and intelligent. Those were the hero traits she had.
Looking down on the license on her lap that All Might and the other heroes had already given her, she was no longer the frail girl everyone once viewed her as.
