Link requested weapons from the Rito and was granted, allowing him to continue. Course, Teba wasn't sure about Link leavings soon, but he didn't have a say in Links choices. Link started his march to the lava land of Eldin, home to Death Mountain and Divine Beast Vah Rudania.
The waters that weren't evaporated around the base bubbled and had healing properties. It could be another excellent place to stop and grab some shrines on the way. However, he deemed as though he should avoid the Gorons. The last thing he needed was more people becoming frightened over the malice, and if scull lake really was the way to his answers, then it should be past him soon anyway.
He used Revail's Gail to its limitations while approaching the rocky edges at the base of Death Mountain. The Eldin Mountains were a rough landscape. And going around would take too much time, not to mention he had no time to fight a lynel. Eventually, the heat hit him in the face, and he had to drink a fireproof elixir, but it wouldn't last long. He would have to stop in Goron city to get new fire armor.

Goron City was the home of the rock people known as Goron's. Strong, bulky, and hard working. They kept fire armor in the local shop for those with natural heat protection. Yunobo lived in a cavern away from the city but visited the town for the delectable Rockroasts. He wasn't a "people person," but being the grandson of the almighty Daruk earned him more attention than he wanted. Expeshuly after helping Link with stoping Vah Rudaina from kicking up the rocks.
Yunobo climbed up to a ledge overlooking Goron City and ate his Rockroast. The sun was just setting, but the brightness of the rocks and lava kept the City and Death Mountain glowing bright. Anyone who looked could see the stone lizard atop Death mountain, ready to assist when needed to stop the calamity.
He heard a scurry from behind him and circled around, a fire-breath lizalfos charged at him. He set up his shield and knocked it back, dealing damage. He rolled up and rammed into the creature, causing it to fall. A few more scurried in, and Yunobo found himself outnumbered. He maintained his shield to protect himself, struggling to combat them all. But he saw a shadow.
Link shot the lizalfos away and grabbed a silver boomerang one had dropped. He flung it and managed to hit them all, using the feathered blade he had obtained from the Rito to finish the job.
"Link!" Yunobo gasped, "thank you for your help. You showed up just in time."
"no problem, I was just stopping by to get some new fire armor since the Yiga nabbed my old set."
"Ah, of course, well, thank you for your aid. I can get a Rockroast for your trouble. my treat!"
"Thanks but no thanks."
"Are you sure? Alright then, more for me, I suppose, but if you want any! Just let me know!" Yunobo smiled and waved as Link left, hopping down to the shop and obtaining the fire armor at a great deal. He put it on and would now be safe from the heat. Link saw Yunobo leaving Goron City, and so Link continued.
He decided to take the back path around Death Mountain. It would allow him to pass the hot springs without slowing him down any, and he would be far enough away to sidestep the lynel roaming north of Death Mountain.
The heat bothered Link's wound, Regardless of the armor. But he kept pushing forward.
He took a breather when he reached the hot springs. Taking off the armor and laying back in the bubbling water. His body unwound, but sadly nothing became new with the impairment. At least it didn't burn near as bad as it had before. He hadn't realized how long he had been moving. The night was already almost over. Link needed rest. He used the gale to get up top of the training rock for the Gorons, using a fire from up there, and sat down, looking around.
As he shut his eyes, he looked northwest and saw a faint fire burning in the distance. It was moving.

Snow gently drifted down, creating piles of It. Link footsteps and the howling wind were the only things he could hear. Some trees were near the base, covered in the snow as well. Link looked up. Ice structures were carved into the mountain, stopping Links elevation. It was unnatural. But this would not stop Link from getting to the lake.
It would be wrong to call it a "lake" or "pond." it's a shrine for the goddess Hylia, known as the "Spring of Wisdom." Link remembered it from memory from the Sheikah Slate. On her birthday, she was to go up there and awaken her power to stop the calamity. However, it was too late.
He had all the warm clothes he needed to scale the mountain. Mainly the clothing he had picked up from the Rito when helping with Vah Medoh. There was a mighty wind from the top, trying to send him back down. The numbers of ice increased on his way up. At this point, the spring must be frozen over.
Link managed to climb his way to the top. And a statue of Hyliah rested about a warm spring of water. And above it. A beast whose body was covered in malice dripped. Naydra.
