A quiet humming of blades filled the stiff air and gentle breeze. Link looked upon the fallen Akkala Citadel. Malice drained down the side in thick clumps, releasing a heavy scent of death and despair into the air. He carefully moved up. At first. Attempting to not be spotted by the guardians scanning the area, Until he heard repeated beeps. He whipped around. Gripping his shield tight in his hand, And pushing the energy beam from the guardian back at it. He jumped up to it, grabbing onto the guardian as it sputtered to recover, master sword, glowing with energy, stabbed it in the eye and fell to another platform higher up.
Link pulled himself up looking to the bokoblins who still blocked his path. He shot the first, sending him off the platform, and attracting the attention of the second. It swung for Link but Link quickly moved out of the way. Leaving a power strike across the bokoblin. Leaving to Link relaxed for a moment.
"Once I climb the tower, I need to find Robbie." He told himself. He avoided the malice at the base of the tower and began to climb. He didn't worry for stamina becuase he has packed enough food. Though he wasn't sure why. He felt like he needed to rush.
It reminded him of the central tower when he heard the beeps. He couldn't make it to a ledge before he was blasted off. He yelled as he fell. Having no time to recover.
He landed in malice at the base of the tower. It began to incase him as he tried to escape and his breathing quickened. He kept moving forward as the Master Sword's engry held back the malice as much as it could. He coughed in pain. Feeling weak.
He blacked out. Feeling cold and empty.
He woke up on the top of the tower. His body still felt odd. The guardian had died. He looked at the Master Sword. It was out of energy.
"It saved me. I live to fight another day." Link said to himself. Standing up as his strength began to return. Though the burning feeling wasn't exactly gone. Link forced himself to put it aside to continue his mission. He looked off the tower to get his bearings, a trail of smoke rose into the sky. He leaped off the tower, Making his way to the rising smoke.
.......................................................................Link carried the blue flame past the moblins blocking the path, along with a yiga blade master and still guardian stopping his progression. Each optical setting him further and further back. Night had risen when he was done.
Before link walked in he looked into the sky. Seeing the red color of the bloody moon cover the dark sky. He went inside to speak to Robbie. Glad he did it before the moon had risen.
"And on that note. Sorry for the long preamble, but I'd like to provide you with some ancient soldier gear."
"Thank you Robbie. This is a big hel-" link was cut off. A burning pain covered him. His blood felt as though it was boiling. Robbie look concerned but before he could speak. Link was already out the door. The pain began to localize on his arm. He slowly pulled of the band on his arm. Revealing a glowing spot of malice growing out of his arm.
Link panicked. His body still burning. He looked up at the blood moon. Calamity Flakes floated around him. This was unlike any blood moon Link had been though before. And it started to click. Malice.
Link sat down at a fire he made, letting time pass. He thought of who might possibility be able to help him. Impa was the first to come to his mind. And so he set off.
Kakariko Village was rather difficult to get to from his current position. The cliffs, swamps, and hills made it take more and more time. Something link didn't feel he had. By the time he made it, all his stamina food was gone.
He rushed into the village. Gripped his arm defenivly. Not giving anyone time to question it.
He rushed thought the doors and shut them behind himself. Impa sat in her same spot. Realising something was wrong.
"Impa, I need your help, adive, something."
"What do you need Link?"
Link carefully removed the bands on his arms. Slowing the malice infected limb. Impa was surpised.
"Link, step closer. Let me see your odd infection."
Link did as such. Letting Impa observe it.
"It appears you've been infected by malice. With no vidable eye to clear it. I don't believe it will heal any time soon. But even by then. It may be too late. However you are at an advantage."
"What do you mean?"
"The Master Sword and your peace of the Tri-Force allows you hold back the malice and keeps you out if Calamity Ganon's control. Though it may not be enough. You need to was the malice out of the cut. If there is an eye it must be exposed in order to allow for you to break it off completely. Go to the Shrine of Reseretion. Its property's of healing will help you fight off the rest of the malice and clear it."
"Are you sure?"
"No, but its worth a shot."
"Alright. Thank you Impa. I'll be back when I'm done."
Link rapped the malice back up in the band. Leaving Kakariko Village.
Surprisingly, it had been rather quite on his way to the shrine. He made it to the base of the Great Plateau. Thinking of how he would clime up.
A small shuffle caught Links attention. He looked around. Hearing shuffling of grass but unable to see a cuase of the sound. He kept looking around backed up to the cliff.
"I know you're here! Show yourself!" Link shouted. Answering his yells. Two Yiga foot solders apeared. They both slashed at him wile link ducked.
Link sent then both back. Grabbing his Edge of Duality. He tryed to seprate them. Focusing on attacking on. As he swung his hand went numb. Preventing him from fighting at his max capacity. The Yiga took advantage of this. Stricking him a few times. And one strike got lucky.
Link dropped his weapon. Gripping his arm. The exposed malice burnt from the attack. The Yiga were hesentent but contuned to attack anyway dispite the now odd circumstance. However, Link wouldn't have it. When the Yiga was close he slammed his shield into the Yiga. Grabbing the sickle and stabbing him in the head. The secound Yiga backed up in a panic. Link turned to him and the Yiga left.
Link wasn't sure how to feel. The dead Yiga rested at his feet. Link dropped the sickle by the body and got back to what he had been doing. Trying not to think about what he had done.
He scaled the Great Wall and ran to the shrine. The dark walls ominously blending to the light. He walked into the shrine. Making it to the bed where a figure stood.
