<Jacksons POV>

1 week and 4 days Later

It had been little over a week now under their employment...so far the dreams have come to a stop after that meeting with...whatever that was...seems that they werent dreams at all.

But now I had gotten a bit more comfortable in this...half hell...I managed to talk and see my brothers when ever the girls went off to work at their studio and didnt need me to be 'Security'. I also managed to wire all my earning to the boys, that way I could keep my contribution to keeping our home afloat.

I rose from my bed as I slapped my hand down on the bedside table, grabbing a small pocket watch that laid there, ticking away the sands of time.

It was dark, nearly all of it being a black steel, with the smallest engraving of a skull on it, filled in with red metal of an unknown origin...how long has it been since I was given this watch...gods it felt like eons at this point.

My thumb pushed down on the little button, as the internal mechanism cranked to life. The hatch opened, showing that the time was only 3 in the afternoon...but as I watched the hands move...my mind drifted away...to a time long past...

It was close to seven in the evening...it was during a time when me and the boys had no home of our own, living as body guards for the local sanctuary...one shrouded in mystery as few knew of its true location, and even then, those few lived in it no less.

I walked through the pipe filled halls, as steam blew all above me, the occasional Fire Light fluttering above me...I always was fascinated by them, how they could shine so bright in a world of darkness...perhaps thats why they shine, to help light the world up for others...

Soon enough I heard mumbling, like someone was in a panic. The light sound of footsteps going back and forth added in to the sounds of frustration...only one person I knew to be such a way.

[Jackson] "Whats got your hairs in such a bunch Ekko?"

The young dark skin manned turned in a frightened panic, as he soon let out a sigh of relief that it was only me...only for a look of greater worry to paint his face soon after.

It was odd to me...always perplexed my mind...how the leader of the Firelights, creator of the Sanctuary, the man who fought the odds since he was a little boy...how such a man could still act like a panicked little boy.

[Ekko] "Oh, hey Jackson...was I being to loud? Ill get out of your hair no worry"

Ekko tried to brush by me, but I stood in his path, blocking him into the small bedroom he had made out of a small utility closet. I saw a small envelope on it, opened and its contents sprawled out on the desk closest to the wall.

[Jackson] "Better yet, why dont you tell me whats got you all worked up first?"

[Ekko] "Oh, its nothing...j-just uh...well...y-yeah its just nothing"

I looked down at him with a deadpan look, Ekko always could talk his way out of things, but even then he still couldnt lie well enough when he got all worked up.

[Jackson] "Uh-huh...so you wont be all upset if I looked at that letter over there...I mean, if nothings wrong then that letter isnt anything important"
