i smiled at von's side profile as my nails caressed under his chin. he smacked his lips and jolted over a bit, "i love you bae but it's too damn early. why we have to go this early anyway?" he questioned.
i lightly smacked his face and leaned over on the door of the truck, "because, you don't know how to manage time right. if we would've left at 9 like you said, we wouldn't have gotten there to help india with everybody in time before everybody start beating each other ass." i mugged.
"wassup wit that? why everybody so mad?" day day mumbled, still half asleep but i already could sense one of them was listening, so i'm glad we kept it PG.
currently we are on our to atlanta from chicago. yes we're driving. von still had restrictions on certain things due to a recent run in with the law about an incident that happened with one of his artists. and plus i'm pregnant.
durk and von decided on instead of just being rappers, they'd expand their brand. durk let von sign a contract as to where he owns 50% of OTF. so we've been really well off since then, but that lil bang situation turned us upside down.
so basically; a year ago there was a scandal where one of OTF's artists, lil bang, got caught scamming for a quarter mill.
of course that projected back on von and durk so they had to grind, meaning cracking down on all their artists. from a wife's standpoint, what they did was super necessary.
the og OTF artists' wanted to sip and smoke all day. but all von and durk were trying to stress to them was they had to be consistent with content and music. all the money that comes back funds their checks and needs as rappers.
but of course everyone wanted to pull the selfish and cocky card when it came to the two riches niggas. so, everyone's mad at my husband especially because he didn't hold his tongue.
von didn't give a fuck. once his lawyer emailed him about a lawsuit from the person who got $250,000 stolen from their account, it was either work or leave the label.
it made him angry. but he had to keep going, so that's why he was so stern with his childhood friends. they didn't take them serious 'til all those vacation bungalows turned into studio sessions and press runs.
"yeah folks, they was pissed they had to do they job. so now they tryna say we tried to take food out they kids mouth and we just these money hungry ass niggas." von's face was painted with an obvious annoyance as he talked about the situation.
