the new deputy and zippleback and raggedscar (chapter 11)

beestar was talking to a starclan lionstar as lawful and Stonewear treated cats

after lionstar was gone, beestar went to the rock and yowled "Let all cats old enough to swim gather to hear my words." he yowled "flickerflash is dead, killed by slashstar" slashstar was windclan leader and beestar's and lionstar's half-brother, thair mother mated a riverclan tom "it is time to pick my new deputy!" he yowled standing tall on the high rock

"RiverClan has lost its deputy, and we will miss him. He was smart and brave and a skilled warrior. And he was my friand. I will be lost without him. The warrior I have chosen as RiverClan's new deputy has shown courage and dedication and strength. sagefur." he mewed looking down on the she-cat "Yes?" she mewed looking up 

"You will be RiverClan's deputy. You showed great courage yesterday when you saved mosspaw's life. And today it seems you instinctively took charge when the Clan was overwhelmed by its loss...... I have watched sagefur closely since she was a kit. I've seen her overcome every obstacle and prove her loyalty again and again. After losing a leader and a deputy in so few moons, it's important that I appoint a warrior whose youth and strength and ability to survive will ensure stability and continuity in RiverClan for many moons to come. Will you accept the job, sagefur?" beestar asked "I'd be honored." she told the leader

beestar smiled as he nodded "now we have two new warriors in the clan" he yelped kindly with a smile

"I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. With no mother to guide her, she has been raised by the Clan, and it is with special pride that we watch her today pass from apprentice to warrior. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior of RiverClan. raggedpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" beestar asked raggedpaw

"I do. I really do." she yelped "Then, by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior's name. raggedpaw, from this moment on you will be known as raggedscar. StarClan honors your determination, your independence, and your loyalty, and welcome you as a full warrior of RiverClan." beestar mewed as raggedscar remembered her ShadowClan training

"zipplepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?" beestar mewed looking at the young tom "I do." he mewed "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior's name. zipplepaw, from this moment you will be known as zippleback. StarClan honors your courage and independence, and we welcome you as a full warrior of riverClan." beestar mewed

the next day zippleback, raggedscar, tinypaw, bluepaw and  falconpounce were on patrol with goldPaw and fallenpaw and featherpaw, who followed her mentor  falconpounce with a skippy run "featherpaw?" tinypaw looked over to the older cat "don't you get your assessment today?" he asked her she nodded "I go after ashpaw and lakepaw" 

tinypaw looked over the thunderclan border as a ginger-flame colored tail disappeared behind the trees he heard a loud mew from the boarder "dragonpaw! come on!" the voice mewed loudly "am coming! am coming!" he heard the she-cat, dragonpaw yelp

back at camp, silverkit, stormkit and mistykit were playing with each other, moonglow's kits had no clue whet happened to her other then snowpaw and stonepaw, snowpaw's littermate, raggedscar and falconpounce layed near the warriors den talking

tinypaw knew that goldenspin would find love in beestar the two tabbies went out on patrol with tinypaw, but the two left him at the thunderclan border but goldenspin and beestar started fighting when tinypaw came into the forest with them

back at camp they were mated
