Chapter 3

I opened my locker and grabbed my book for science, which I had next lesson. I felt a warm breath on my ear so I spun round and was faced with James.
"You coming?" He murmured.
"Where?"
"Don't worry." He grabbed my hand and guided me through the halls. He pulled me into the school grounds. He turned to face me and placed his finger on his lips. He looked around with hard eyes checking no one was around before lifting a sheet of barbed wire. He ushered me under it before climbing under himself.
"We have to walk pretty fast now." He muttered with his head down. We picked up our speed until we walked round a few corners. I looked back and the school was nowhere in sight.
"How often do you do this?"
He shrugged. "A couple times a week."
"Don't you worry about your education?" I asked.
"Nope." he said popping the 'P'. He smirked.
We reached a small coffee shop and he held the door open for me. I muttered a small thank you before stepping in.
He placed his hand on my lower back. "You go and sit over there." He nodded his head towards some tables at the back of the café. I walked over, putting my bag next to me. A few seconds later he walked over with two coffees. He sat down and rested his head on his hand.
"So what's happening about you and Ben?"
I laughed softly. "Well, he's a dick and I have standards higher than a cheat."
"I'm sorry I punched him I didn't think I ju-"
"Shut up James, it's fine he deserved it."
"You didn't deserve to be with someone like him anyway."
