"So you just don't care about anything?" I laughed.
"Nope. But I do of course have exceptions." He flashed a smile and I felt tiny flutters in my stomach.
We reached my front gate and I turned to him.
"Thankyou for walking me home. and for buying me an endless supply of coffee." I smiled.
"No problem. I always buy on dates." he winked as he said 'date'.
He leant in and just before he reached my lips, I turned my head so he got my cheek instead.
When he pulled away I turned around. as I reached the front door I turned around and smirked.
"I don't kiss on first 'dates'."
As I shut the door behind me I pressed my back against the cold wood. I exhaled deeply.
"Fyn? Is that you?" A voice shouted.
I groaned and made my way to the kitchen.
"Where were you? It's 7 for gods sake." My mum shouted.
I ignored her and walked out. Well, tried. she grabbed my sleeve and spun me round.
"Fynnea Johnson! Tell me where you were!"
"I was out okay? I have a life!"
"Fine, go and throw your life away!"
I threw my head back and laughed. "Throwing my life away? Tell me mother. how am I doing that?"
"Your school phoned 9 hours ago, saying you had bunked all day. Do you want an education or not? Do you want a life? Do you want a job?"
"I have no time for this."
I ran up the stairs and took my phone out.

I turned my phone off and lied down, slowly drifting into tranquility.
