A/N:

Well here is the next part. It's not really a long chapter at all and its probably boring and makes no sense but I'm really tired and I have no energy. It's not really all that funny either but I wanted to get Arden's feelings about Skylar and what he expects out there since we know Skylar doesn't want anything serious. And Purplegirl14 sorry no Mr. Twinkles this time but there is talk of him in this chapter :) Maybe they will visit him in the next one!

Hope you enjoy and sorry its a crappy chapter! Once I sit down and figure out some ideas for it, it should start picking back up! :)

Recap:

Why is he staring at my lips? Oh man, he is moving closer! He is going to kiss me! Do I want him to kiss me? Hell yeah I do! I inched my face closer to his to meet him. Just as soon as our lips touched a loud squeal from where Xavier and Del were rang out across the room.

Rolling his eyes Arden glanced over their way and burst into laughter, “You need to check this out Skylar, come on!”

He dragged me over to our friends before I even had a chance to focus on what was going on.  As we got closer I noticed it was Xavier squealing like a little girl. Are you serious? He really sounds like a girl right now! But what was even funnier was the sight before our eyes

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In front of Arden and I, Xavier was trying so hard to pull a dirty older man off his leg. The poor decrepit man was wearing nothing but an old tattered trench coat and a pair of older than my Grandma Dress shoes. He was attached to his leg like glue and Xavier was definitely a sight to see, squealing like a school girl.

“Quit standing there staring and help get this thing off of me,” He tried to pry the man off but failed miserably.

Arden chuckled as he folded his arms across his chest, “Na I think you are handling it just fine bro.”

“Well this is definitely something I want a picture of to remember.” Delaney had come up next to us and pulled out her camera. Aiming for Xavier she got in a few good shots and a video of him squealing before he finally got the man off of him.

“Let’s get out of here. I feel disgusting and I need a shower.” He whined as he grabbed Del’s arm trying to drag her out of the club.

“Quit being a baby, you’re fine.” I laughed.

He rolled his eyes, “You aren’t the one with hobo germs on your leg.”

“Yea and I’m also not the one who squeals like a girl and that says something because I am a girl!”

“Whatever.” Sticking out his tongue like an immature child he took off in the direction of the hotel Delaney hot on his heels.

A hand appeared across my shoulders and I was met face to face with a smirking Arden, “Looks like it’s just you and me now baby.”

I shrugged his arm off and pointed in the direction of the piazza. “I’m thinking we should go pay Mr. Twinkles a visit. He is just too cute!”

Holding his hands up in front of them he took a step back, “No, nuh huh. I am not going to see that evil thing again.”

“Awe are you afraid he will show the world you tighty whities again?”

“They were smiley faces not tighty whities. And this time I’m not wearing any at all.” He gave me a cocky grin.

“Ok maybe seeing Mr. Twinkles again isn’t such a good idea. I really don’t want to see what you have down there or lack of.” I giggled and linked his arm in mine, leading him towards the hotel.

We walked towards the hotel in silence. He never even responded to my sarcastic comment, I wonder if he is feeling ok? Sneaking a peek at him I noticed he was focused on the sidewalk ahead of us, he looked deep in thought as he chewed his bottom lip. Chewing his lip must be a habit when he’s thinking.

Poking him in the side I gained his attention, “You ok?”

He stopped walking and gazed intently at me. After a few moments of silence he finally spoke. “I’m good, just thinking about some stuff.”

“Want to share?”

He sighed and dragged his hands across his face, “I like you Skylar, and you are different from anyone else I’ve ever met. I haven’t even known you for that long but it feels like I’ve known you forever. You are so carefree and brutally honest. You’re not afraid to speak your mind or tell other’s how you feel. I find you simply amazing and beyond beautiful. I shouldn’t be having these thoughts this soon but what is going to happen when we leave here?  I want to continue to get to know you after we leave here and be with you, I can’t help but think I’ll never find another like you but it all depends if you feel the same?”

Oh no. I thought it was the girl who gets attached first? What a soap opera. I really do like him. He is definitely not horrible to look at and he has a very simple, caring personality. But I didn’t come here to get into a serious relationship. Especially with someone who doesn’t live close to me nor someone that I haven’t fully gotten to know yet.

“Arden…I uh...” I trailed off. Ok how do I put this without coming off as rude? “Arden I do like you too but I didn’t come to Italy looking for romance or a boyfriend. I came here to have fun with Del and sight see. Meeting you was a lucky thing but I really don’t see us having a relationship after we all leave Verona and go back to the states. I’m sorry.”

He huffed and crossed his arms, a frown adorning his unblemished face. “Ok so what you are trying to say is you like me and all but you don’t want to be in anything serious? But it’s ok for us to be together while we are here but once we leave we are supposed to forget about each other and never speak again?”

Ok when he puts it like that It sounds horrible but what else is there to do? Long distance relationships never work out. I should have never kissed him! Curse my stupid teenage hormones.  “That’s kind of what I’m saying.” I sighed as I tried to take his hand in mine and resume the walk to the hotel.

He yanked his hand away from me and rolled his eyes, “Well if all you’re looking for is a fun summer vacation fling I’m not your guy. Sorry.” He spun on his heel and stalked off towards the hotel without a backwards glance.

As I watched him walk away I felt a pang of guilt. I think it’s time to go and find Delaney and hopefully maybe she has an idea on how to fix this. I really don’t want to spend the rest of the trip without Arden around. I really do like him but I didn’t plan on getting into anything serious or finding romance here, but maybe it was meant to happen.
