----------------Tim's pov:----------------
I admit. My head was spinning. With the news that Greek myths were real, to the fact that the girl I had been spending most of my time with was the daughter of one of the most powerful gods that I know of. Not to mention the fact that I had just offered her a part time job as a super hero.
"I-"
I watched as her face went blank, she looked down at her feet. Her grip on my hand wasn't as tight as it was moments before as she seemed to be genuinly thinking this through.
"I... I want to..." She pauses, it looks like shes thinking about something. "it's just, I escaped that life a while ago." She looks up at me, her face with a tight smile. "but I don't want you getting" she pauses looking down before quickly correcting herself "You guys getting hurt. So I'll do it."
"That's gre-"
"But on one condition!" She holds up one finger. "I can leave after this whole thing is over. I don't want to deal with monsters any more after we figure all this out" I nodded. She seemed to relax before her grip on my hand tightened. "Alright, looks like I'm back in the ring"
She looked down at the pen in her hand, rotating it around her finger making it look like a small propeller. I had questions but Percy just relaxed. Would it be okay? I just didn't want her getting upset like last time.
((author note: I wanted to add "But I would be fine with the same outcome" but it felt out of place. So take it here instead))
"Hey Percy?" She looked up with a small hum. "Would it be okay if you tell me what you mean by "I escaped that life a while ago"?" She took a deep breath before nodding.
"How long do you have?"
I smiled. "All day" She cracked a grin back before she started pulling me back to her apartment. We walked down streets and turned corner and I noticed Percy was more jumpy then usual so I held her hand more tightly which seemed to calm her down. By the time we arrived back at her place we had both finished our coffees. She opened the door, letting go of my hand in order to close the door, I took both of our coffee cups quickly putting them on the trash before walking back to the living room.
In the living room I found Percy sitting on the couch, her feet were up to her chest as she faced the middle of the couch. I quickly sat across from her so we were both just facing each other.
"All right, long detailed story or short simplified story?" She asked, her face was serious as if this was a very important decision. I decided I wanted to know as much as possible.
"Long story" Her face looked guilty for a minute before she took a deep breath.
"Alright, prepare yourself Drake"
---------------------(Im not going over everything da freak)----------------
By the time we finished we had hit mid-afternoon, the light streaming inside and brightening Percy up even through her dark story.
"So wait wait, let me get this straight" She just nodded with a hum her face straight as if this was a normal thing. "You willingly jumped into He- down there?" She nodded.
"yeah, at the time me and Annabeth were dating and you see each and every demigod has a thing called a "fatal flaw". Mine happens to be loyalty." she shrugs bringing her tea up to her lips. We had to take a couple intermissions because she needed something for her throat from talking for so long.
