This world has it's own rule. Every single creature on it have their own lifetime and nothing last forever, even the world itself wasn't eternal either.

As now the world apply it’s rule, end someone lifetime and born a new life in somewhere. For god knows how long she’s been staring into the void, the cold air pierced her body but she didn't move even an inch. Her legs getting numb and kept forcing her to move from that position, but she ignored it.

The (e/c) eyes woman notice something from her peripheral vision. Scurried to her feet, she placed the sleeping body of Ran on the floor carefully, limply walk into the direction of that something, taking it with her hands, the cold metal which has bloodstained against her palms. That was Ran’s gun.

Voluntary bring her hand up and aiming the gun to her forehead while placed it perfectly in the bridge of her nose, her glimpse displayed one moment when Ran told her the best place to shot people is in that position, directly will make them die within a second. Remembered it well, she’s ready to pull the trigger when someone yelled her name.

“(Y/N)!!”

It took a moment until her void mind recognized that familiar voice. Still have no intention to stop her act, the yelled man punch her in the face, not with the purpose to hurt her, but strong enough to knock some sense of her pretty head.

“Stop it (Y/N) what in the hell did you thinking right now?!” Kakucho isn’t a type of guy who loves being rude to woman, but the scene he saw right now mixed his feelings with anger, worried, sadness, and anything else who knows what, so he can not control his action.

“I kill him.” The woman spoke firmly make the man stunned.

“No, you didn’t.” Throwing away the gun from the woman hand forcefully, Kakucho ensure her safety and now divert his gaze to his companion who lay in the floor soullessly.

He already know Haitani brothers since they were teenagers, working together under some strong delinquent, which one of it was their currently boss’ siblings. Ran was the most confident between the two since his skill was undoubtful- although he’s still stronger than him.

So that’s why he can not help but a drop of tears freely out from the corner of his eyes, this is not the first time Kakucho saw someone drown on their on blood in front of his eyes, but still, he wasn’t that strong-hearted to didn’t cry when his friend died.

“But Ran was died because of me.” The stubborn woman insist to make this all was her fault, make the man increase his tone.

“NO (Y/N). NO. How many times did I need to say that he died not because of you-“

“Then why did he died?”

Silent for a while after cut Kakuho words, she take a deep breath before burst out.

“WHY KAKUCHO WHY? TELL ME WHY DID HE DIED!” painfully screaming and shaking his body harshly, Y/N was in her deep depression can not accept the reality she got. This world was to cruel for her to make her faced two death in a row, her father and her ‘friend’, or so she thought.

Kakucho did not escape any words out of his mouth, deadly silence created between them as he now heard his boss spoke through the earbuds,

“Abort the mission. We’re back to Japan.”

Ran plastered his usual lazy smile, showing one of his attractiveness to everyone who saw it. His fine creature was in figure, between two vase of black flower in a room fully decorated with black. In the middle of his funeral which attended only by Bonten executives, Rindou was nowhere to be seen.

You know how is it feel to lost your own related blood called family, so you found it ‘normal’ when someone can not accept the fact that their family died and just decided to go somewhere else but funeral.

“What was his last words?” Sanzu spoke out of the blue. Even though his question wasn’t directly refer to you, but you're the only one in this room who can answer it.

Tears started forming on your eyes, again, as your sight getting blurry while you try to look at Sanzu. Your mouth forming ‘I’m sorry’ with no sound but enough to make everyone understand what did you say.

Can not hold the sadness, you fell on your knees while crying in silent. Your ears catch a sound of someone step slowly away from your presences as Mikey become the first one who left the room, followed by Takeomi and the others.

You stayed in that position for more fifteen minutes, until  you felt someone presences approach you, stop his step right behind your back.

“He’s such an idiot, isn’t he?”

That was Rindou voice.

Can not believe your ears, you stand on your feet and turning back to confirm by yourself and there he was, wearing a black suit with unreadable face, his purple mullet hair looks messy fall on his shoulders, both hands in pockets when you realize that Ran and Rindou was really look alike. Swiping your tears with your hands, you try to had a conversation with him as you speak while sobbing,

“I’m sorry Rin.”

“No need to put your pity on me.” He responded as if he doesn't care anymore, but who knows what was his true feelings.

“I’m not pitying you.”

“Then, he must be saying some  stuff like ‘get along with Rindou’ or ‘take care of him’, am I right?”

You genuinely had no idea hearing his responds, why was Rindou being such a sarcastic like this. But it doesn’t matter, there’s more important thing you need to do.

Intentionally ignored his words, now you walk being closer to him, pulling his right hand out of his pocket as you placed a bracelet with star pendant on it.

“What is this?” Rindou narrowing his eyes on you in confusion.

“It’s a promise.”

“What do you mean?”

A promise that I’ll protect you at all cost, even if it’s mean to sacrifice my life.
