Chapter 33 - Reunion

*Venable's POV*

It has been a long time since I was this nervous, standing in a crowded arrival hall waiting for the one woman, who changed my life, to come back to me. My foot taps the floor in a fast rhythm while I stare at the arrival board. I stand there with the nail of my index finger between my teeth and the bouquet of flowers in my arm. It's the fourth time now that I search for y/n's flight on the board, it's not there. That can't be... She should arrive in 10 minutes. How can her flight not be on the arrivals board?

My thoughts are driving me crazy and I look over to the service desk, feeling the urge to cause a scene about their unorganized announcement-policy. Right when I am about to move into that direction I feel arms wrapped around me from behind and I let out a surprised yelp.

"It's me," I feel the warm whisper of a familiar voice on my ear and neck. My lips stretch into the widest smile because I can already smell her perfume.

"You scared me for a second," I mumble back in a low voice, enjoying the feeling of her lips near my ear.

"You brought me flowers," she states, ignoring my comment and still holding me tight from behind. I hold up the bouquet of purple tulips that I bought for her, so she can see them.

"Yes, I did," I turn my head to the right, so that my forehead is now close to hers, "See how soft you made me..." I turn around in her arms and her lips finally connect with mine.

"You were always soft, princess," she says while she rubs her nose on mine, "you just didn't know about it..." she adds before I kiss her again.

"I can't wait to get home with you..." I say when y/n interlocks her arm on mine and we start walking towards the parking lot.

"Uhh, naughty Mina...'' she grins and whispers in my ear, "You missed me that much, hum?" The raspiness of her voice turns me on.

"I have something I can't wait to show you..." I say, acting mysteriously to cover my nervousness.

"Whatever it is, I bet I'm gonna love it," she kisses my cheek before getting into the car.

"I hope you do," I mumble to myself.

We drive into the underground garage of Kinero's robotics and take the elevator up to the CEO apartment. As the doors open and we get in, little Lilac is walking towards us, letting out her usual greeting-meow.

"Hey baby," y/n says in her cute voice, "did you miss your sister?" She puts down Violet's transport box and opens it. The kitties sniff at each other before starting to lick each other's head. The licking soon turns into biting and biting turns into fighting playfully. Before we know it the kittens are running around the apartment as if they were insane.

"When did you bring her here?" y/n wants to know as we both smile at our babies.

"When I was preparing your 'coming-home-gift'" I say and wrap my arms around her from behind.

"Speaking of which," she turns around in my embrace and kisses the tip of my nose.

"You're nosy and impatient," I joke and look her in the eyes seriously.

"Yessss," she smiles brightly, "I wanna know what it is.."

"First you wanna know where it is," I correct her and she slightly rolls her eyes.

"Right," she nods and smiles, "where is it?"

"In the bedroom," I whisper. Her eyes widen and she bites her lip.

"Uhh," she smirks, "let's go," she takes my hand and tears me with her towards the bedroom, so that I almost lose my cane in the process. Arriving at the bedroom she is about to quickly open the door.
