Chapter 7

I grabbed his hand and stepped out of the car. He closed the door behind me and put his arm around me. I don't really know what is going on, we are just friends. Wait are we? We totally made out, but I don't like him like that, I can't like him like that.

We walk into school and receive dirty looks and whispers. I guess they don't like me. Oops.

"Don't pay attention to them."

*CHANDLERS POV*

Everyone is whispering and looking at us. I look over at Victoria, her long blonde hair, green eyes, perfect skin overwhelm me. How can one girl be so beautiful? I can't fall for her, not after what happened with Lacy. Especially with Bryson and Jayden still here. I can't go through that again. She can't go through that. I fail to protect Lacy and I can't do that with her.

She can't fall for me, I can't fall for her. As much as I want to fall for her and for her to fall for me, it's better off this way, it's safer this way.

We walk into first period and make our way to the back. She sat next me today. Second period Victoria isn't in my class. Third, forth, and fifth period flew by. Walking to lunch I saw Victoria get up off the ground and run out of the school crying. I followed after her.

She was sitting on picnic table with her knees pulled up to her face, she was crying hard now. I ran up and sat down next to her.

"Shhh, it's okay. Take a deep breath, and tell me what happened."

She managed to choke out a few sentences.

"I-it was Bryson and J-Jayden they were with Molly a-and her g-group. I was just standing there a-and they started calling me names and pushing me around, just like at my o-old school."

Molly is the head of the school barbies. Her group, they are barbies too. I knew this would happen. This is how it started with Lacy. Why does he come after everyone I care about? He changes them.

"I'm so sorry Victoria. You don't deserve this, you are a beautiful girl, don't forget that. Promise me you won't forget that."

She looked up from her knees and looked me straight in the eyes.

"Thank you Chandler. I-I promise."

I pulled her into a hug. She squeezed me tightly. Her nose nestled in my neck. I hate to say it but I think I'm falling for her. I look over her shoulder and see Bryson. He's with Molly, they are laughing and looking at us.

*VICTORIAS POV*

I pull away from Chandler.

"Thank you for being there for me."

I got up and Chandler followed.

"Hey Victoria, want to ditch and just go home."

"That would be lovely."
