The nightmares never went away for Kenjiro, everytime his eyes closed at night, the death of his brother played like clockwork.

But everytime he awoke, faced with reality, it was no better than the nightmares, it was a living horror.

Yet he had no choice but to continue, whether he liked it or not.

Anbu Zero had been doing multiple high level C-rank missions, a few low level B-rank missions, just to ease them in, as Danzo said.

Tomorrow, they were to take on their first high B-rank mission, and their sensei had decided to test them on their skills before they went to the Hokage's office to receive the mission.

So the three zero squad memebers waited at a training field for their sensei, not a word being spoke between them.

"Oh would you look at that! we're all here on time."

The three look up at their sensei, not a word being spoken between any of them, as they just look at her with blank stares.

"...tough crowd."

"Well anyways, this is how we'll do it. You three will go against eachother first. Don't hold back—nothing is off limits."

Obviously, Kenjiro wouldn't showcase his abilities, he had no reason to reveal how strong he was.

Atleast, not infront of the Hokage's lapdog.

It was all too evident the reason that the head of Anbu was assigned to this team, it was to watch Kenjiro and Ronin. Keep tabs on them for Danzo and Hiruzen.

But they didn't know he knew that.

"In the second half of this, you three will team against me, your objective—to just lay a single finger on me."

No questions were asked, as the three all jumped away, dissapearing from sight as they waited for their sensei to signal the beginning.

"Begin."

Kenjiro moved through the trees on the outside of the field, dissapearing and reappearing with he and Shisui's body flicker.

Atleast, until his Hyuga teammate, Mai, appeared out of nowhere, a gentle fist landing on his ribs—as she barely managed to catch him while he was visible.

The technique sent the Uchiha through a tree, tumbling into the field as he rolls backwards, springing off his hands and landing on his feet.

Almost immediately, Mai is infront of Kenjiro, her Byakugan activated as she tries to hit the Uchiha with another Gentle Fist

Kenjiro reacts in time, the three tomoe of his Sharingan spinning to life as he sidesteps the attack, sending a kick at Mai that staggers her a couple steps.

The two begin swinging and trading punches, kicks, etcetera—both dojutsu nearly glowing as they move around.

The ground below them begins to rumble, as the two fighting split apart, jumping away as the ground splits apart, a large fissure forming as the ground caves in in the small area beneath the Hyuga and Uchiha.

Kenjiro—knowing this was the work of Ronin, uses the opportunity to flicker away, fleeing back into the trees

He knew there was no way to hide from a Byakugan user, but he would try.

Unfortunately, the trees was where he ran into Ronin.

The two saw eachother in passing, Ronin reaching out and slamming his forearm into Kenjiro's midsection, knocking the wind out of the Uchiha as he is slammed into the ground.
