"𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇, will be Misuki Daichi of Kumogakure versus Kenjiro Uchiha of Konohagakure."
The two genin decended from the upper-level, facing eachother, Hayate—the proctor—standing between them.
"Misuki Daichi, Kenjiro Uchiha, you two have been selected to participate in the first bout. Any objections?"
Kenjiro looked his opponent dead in the eyes, his face blank of any emotion, contrast to the seering pain that ran through his body.
Misuki, however, slightly shook in fear, his blue eyes open so wide they nearly popped out of his head.
He was clearly terrified, anyone would be, given they had to face this prodigy of an Uchiha
It was no secret that he was the one that destroyed a third of the forest, but that wasnt the scary part.
The part that scared the boy, was overhearing the other Leaf Genin, hearing them talk about how he nearly killed them all, effortlessly, and with a smile on his face.
"U-uh... I'd actually like to-"
He looked up from the ground, looking his opponent in the eye before finishing his thought, trying to decide if this was really what he wanted to do.
He stared into the man's dark eyes, his straight face showing no emotion whatsoever.
Was he really about to quit? He was the highest ranked genin in his class, he'd be bringing shame to his peers, the peers that chose for him to be there.
"You were saying?" The proctor spoke.
He hardened his nerves, finding a new resolve to beat this man, deciding that he'd be the ninja that beat the prodigy Uchiha.
He'd be the pride of his village.
"Nevermind," He said, "Let's do this."
"Okay then, Begin!"
The proctors words jump-start the boy's brain, taking out a kunai and rushing at the Uchiha, who just stood there, the same blank expression on his face, not moving an inch.
"I'll win this!"
Misuki's eyes snapped open, the boy taking multiple deep breathes, a thin layer of sweat on his face, finding himself back in his bed in his home village.
Was that whole thing a bad dream? Why was he back in Kumo?
He swung his feet off the side of the bed, silently saying a prayer to Kami, thankful that his fight with the Uchiha was just a bad dream and nothing more.
He was confused as to why there was even a Uchiha in his dream, it was well known knowledge that they were all dead, all except for Itachi Uchiha, the one who made sure they were all deceased.
They say he killed his younger brother, parents, and the two prodigies that were his cousins, even taking their eyes.
That Itachi was truly a cruel man, Misuki couldn't understand how someone could do that to their own blood.
Misuki looked to his nightstand, seeing his village's respective chunin vest laid on it, a proud feeling washing over him at the fact that he'd passed the exam—even if he didn't remember passing at all.
He stood up, opening the door to his room and stepping out, listening for any voices in his house.
He himself had a rather large family, a mom, a dad, two younger brothers, two younger sisters, seven total people.
They weren't very well off. Their parents struggled to find consistent work, which is the reason why he became a ninja. The money he got from the missions was enough to help support his family get by.
